This center is defunct and closed. The 10th century St Cronan’s church it was housed in is still open and a notice on the door says there are worship services on the 4th Sunday of each month at 10 AM.

This place was fascinating. There was no-one around and we thought the place was closed but when we tried the door it opened into a high almost empty church space. There was a wonderful atmosphere of calm and silence that was overwhelming. There were beautiful stone Celtic crosses and an ancient carved stone font. The building had a huge glass partition dividing it and the far end was a Church of Ireland chapel which was still in use. A fascinating place for a quick visit.

Well worth a visit!

This doubles as both a Tourist Information and Heritage Centre. The staff were both knowledgeable and helpful - on both counts. There is loads of interesting information and the building is really old. Well worth a visit.

We stopped in to see the museum, but couldn't attend the music concert scheduled for the next day. St. Cronan's is amazing, especially when you realize that Brian Boru was around then. As the oldest working church in Ireland, one needs time to explore more. Highly recommended!

The East Clare Heritage Center is a place we go to every time we visit Ireland. Kate Purcell puts on a wonderful evening of music. There are always about three musicians and also Stephanie who does the sean nos dancing-kind of a free style tap dancing-not like Riverdance. It's a lovely evening in Brian Boru's lovely 10th century church-the oldest continuously still in use.

Spent a wonderful evening at St. Cronan's Church and Heritage Centre.A musical and historic evening was provided by Kate Purcell and 2 friends singing lyrical and rhythmic traditional Irish music. Tap dancing was also displayed by a talented dancer.
