A great family tradition in Berkeley is Golden Gate Fields. It has everything beautiful horses, incredible jockeys that ride the horses masterfully. I dare anyone not to cheer for the horeses when the bell rings and the race starts.
beautiful park with easy access from 1-80. We stayed at the Hilton Berkley Marina which is always top notch. They have a shuttle to transport you to the track and back to the hotel. Great people watching, you can't put a pricetag on a day...More
Had so much fun the day we went. $1 programs, $1 beers & mimosas and $1 hotdogs. It was a little chilly on the day we went so we took are drinks and hot dogs and paid the extra fee to go upstairs to the...More
I went with a group of friends for a birthday celebration. We got our big hats on and everything. It was a fun time - definitely a more casual track. We were able to get great box seats right by the finish line. A fun...More
As part of our American vacation we decided to give the races a go. What a pleasant surprise it was. Having been a semi regular race goer in Australia and the decline in crowds and interest on course it was a really pleasant surprise. People...More
Why not take in a day at the track and watch the ponies run? We got there in time for the first race and stayed till the last. Most fields only had six horses running. On the day we went, they had a couple big...More
Great way to spend an afternoon. I grew up in Albany, but I've never been to a horse race. I would definitely come back. The day we went was not crowded at all. The automated machines make it easy to place a bet. I was...More

Golden Gate Fields contact personal email address (8 Replies)
Hi there all and hoping for some help. I am wondering if anyone has a personal email address of an employee to ask some questions re Turf Club Reservations. I have tried to post on Facebook, sent a message through Facebook and also filled out their contact form on their website and not had any response yet. Last resort will be to call from the UK of course but just hoping to avoid unnecessary cost if someone can help on here :-) Thanks in advance.

It is the Internet age. My cost of a call to a take out across the street in SF or to a restaurant in London is the same cost. Skype Google and hundreds of internet telephony companies abound.

Golden Gate Fields racetrack is not located at Fisherman's Wharf, but is located in the East Bay near El Cerrito. If you do a Google Maps search for it, you'll see it. It is midway between two BART stations, North Berkeley and El Cerrito Del Norte. It's not particularly close to either of these stations and you'd probably want to take a car, bike, bus or taxi from the BART station to Golden Gate Fields. Fisherman's Wharf is about 1.5 miles from a BART station, but is located in San...More
