X- Large Luxury Pontoon was not a luxury. Old equipment, gauges not working, high idle, tricking ignition to coax into starting… our group tried to make the best of it, but our boat left us stranded on the lake. When we called for help employee wanted location, funny, no markers out on the lake. I could only give descriptions of buildings visible on shore and super load with all the engine noise from other boats so couldn’t hear. What you see on the photos here are not a reflection of what you get. Our bbq was small and located on outer perimeter, so it was getting wave washed by speed boats that were high speed driving in wrong direction of water highway rules we were given. The young adults employed here were trying to do their best… we finally got rescued from being pounded against the beach and we were given an hour refund and no gas charges…. But, next go ‘round renting at a bigger lake with better reviews and newer, well kept equipment .

We had a medium Pontoon, seats were ripped, screw coming out of drivers seat, the grill was dirty as was the entire boat..
Radio did not work, speedo did not work which is concerning as there is a speed limit in place on the lake.
Seemed like a group of kiids were running the show and loots standing about discussing the weekend when they could have been cleaning the boats possibly? Overpriced for what you get, don't be fooled by website pictures of boats!
The lake is stunning and we made the most of it and had an amazing day but I woulld rent a boat elsewhere next time.

My family and I rented a 5 seater pontoon boat that started giving us some issues when we first went out. The staff was fantastic and immediately had us come back to switch to a bigger pontoon at no additional charge. Our gas at the end after being out for a full half day was only around $21. We had a great time out on the lake and would highly recommend renting from them!

We had a great time on the lake in the rental boat. Check in was simple, the staff were outstanding and the fun was priceless. I highly recommend this rental place. All equipment was in great shape and zero issues. Definitely will do this again.

We booked a boat for 5 hours during our stay in Yosemite and had a very fun day!
We had a thorough safety briefing before we could take our boat out and everything was nice and smooth. Boats are easy to drive.
Our kids (10 and 12) enjoyed the big tube very much! We brought our own picnic and you can also buy some snacks and drinks from the boat rental shop.
It was really an enjoyable experience.

I am giving this company no stars!!! Awful, terrible, DO NOT RENT BOATS FROM THIS COMPANY!! Where do I start? My father in law, Rich, reserved a boat for our family two weeks ahead of time and spoke to Mike, then five days before our actual boat rental day of Monday, November 10, 2014 he spoke to Mike again to confirm our reservation. We got to the boat deck on 11/10/14 and Bass Lake Water Sports was closed. Our family was so upset, we had our fishing gear, lunches, kids were excited, weather was gorgeous and the stupid place was closed. We went to Duceys to ask around, we went everywhere and asked for the owner, Tommy he was no where to be found. We waited around until 11:00. We kept calling the number and you could hear the phone were the bait shop was, it was ringing. Other people were looking for the owner to open up the shop and they were calling the same number. The kids were crying, we were all upset, because they were not open, it ruined our entire day. It was the perfect day to fish and rent a boat and Bass Lake Water Sports destroyed any chance of having fun. Bottom line, don't ever rent a boat or do business with this company. I will be spreading the word and leaving reviews all over to make sure no one gets taken advantage of like us.

Reserved a house boat for the 4th of July months ago. I was quoted $300 for the deposit, by the OWNER of the company. I called to confirm the reservation and spoke with SARA (the manager) she proceeded to tell me that the deposit was $500 instead of the $300 I was quoted. She refused to honor the original quote and was very rude. Her excuse was "that's our deposit policy and I can't do anything about it!" I will never do business with this dishonest facility again. Furthermore, I'm filing complaints with the BBB, Consumer affairs etc. I'm a local here and also own a business. This is simply unacceptable.

We traveled as a family of four and were recommended to this activity by the excellent concierges at the Tenaya Lodge.

The staff at the rental company were incredibly swift and efficient and within 15 minutes of arriving we were on the water after watching the safety briefing and inspecting the boat.

We were fortunate that there was not a cloud in the sky and the lake was not that busy. The setting is spectacular and the boats are spacious and pretty powerful and able to reach speeds of 35 mph. They also have water skis and a banana boat.......such fun.

I would highly recommend this activity for a family or a small group. Even though you can take up to 10 people on the boat if you want to water ski I would only take a max of 6 people on board.

Please note that the fuel cost works out to about 50 cents per minute!

There are also more sedate boats if you want to spend longer on the lake and don't want to water ski.

My family and I just returned from a vacation to Bass Lake. We first visited Bass Lake Water Sports on Wednesday of this week (8/19). I was traveling with my 4 children, my girlfriend, and her 2 children. We wanted to rent a speed boat and take the kids tubing. We are not however experienced speed boat drivers and were not comfortable taking the kids out on our own. The owner of Bass Lake Water Sports, Tommy, said that he would work on getting us a driver so that we could enjoy our time. After a period of time, Tommy informed us that he was unable to get a driver because school was back on and there was a limited number of staff left for the summer. We understood, but were disappointed. My friend and I were lingering in the office deciding what we could do, when Tommy told us that he would do it so that the kids could get the experience. We preceded to hire him to take us out on a speed boat. What started as 2-hours turned into 5-hours because everyone was having such a fantastic time. A lot of that we due in large part to Tommy's personal commitment to customer service and how fun he made the afternoon for our families. We will absolutely refer our friends to Bass Lake Water Sports and will return there again for our rentals next summer. Thank you Tommy for helping to make our Bass Lake experience one our kids will never forget!

Reading reviews and agree this place is expensive... However they run a very good business. A 17 year old checked us in, young guys put us on the boat and then returning another group of young people checked us out. Each and every one were pleasant, professional and respectful. This business has hired and trained an impressive group of young adults. Hat's off to you. The lake is very small but beautiful even with the water being very low. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.
