The Historic Fox Theater

Venue for music and movies. The indie films you won't find in the multiplexes. The people working to restore the theater are doing an excellent job!

The Fox has very good acoustics, that make a concert enjoyable, Not a bad seat in the house, I prefer to sit about 5 rows back so you can see the whole stage a little better.

My favorite venue for entertainment in town. It is great! I have seen art movies there, comedy shows, and great musicians and bands. I highly recommend you check their FB page for upcoming events.

I've been to this theater many times. It is of the Atr Deco era and it has been restored to its former glory. Not an opulent theater but it's iconic 50's. Not a bad seat in the house. Leg room is about old school but still adequate for modern days. I've seen many great artists in this venue. Bakersfield should... More

Went to concert that benefited Wounded Heroes Fund. Great respect for that. But sound quality is not that great for rock music. But great building inside.

There is not a bad seat in the house and the theater is in great shape. The only issue I had was with the bar they had. It took half an hour to get drinks at the little temporary bar they had set up. If they can figure out a way to get people through the drink line it would... More

Such a beautiful building however when we were there it was no less that 90 degrees in the theatre. It was terribly miserable. If the entertainer had been any less entertaining we would have left about 15 minutes in.

I have seen this theater but have never been to it. This month I will be going twice to it. Went on February 12, and saw Lisa Lampanelli, her opening act was terrible and I mean really terrible. Lisa was just OK didn't know her language was so bad and how much she goes after the gays and black dudes.... More
