CALM is a great place to visit anytime, the wildlife on display in natural settings is always a treat. The Christmas light show is nothing less than enchanting! We love to visit during the holidays and take grandchildren along for the experience!

I have always enjoyed visiting the CALM and we became lifetime members back when it first started (when we could afford what a lifetime membership cost). We also purchased sidewalk plaques in family members name and remembrance of departed members. It has been fun to watch it grow over the years. It is a great place to visit year around.... More

I absolutely LOVE CALM! The reason for this unique environment is humanity, as well as, love of our indigenous animals. The animals cannot live in the wild on their own for a variety of different reasons - injured, orphaned, disabled- so they are kept until they pass on their own. They are loved and all their needs are cared for... More

You stroll through the nice walkway and see animals and plants that are native to California. Much fun and learning for the whole family.

Good selection of native animals and birds . Was in awe of the golden eagle. Some animals looked a little lonely but that could be my soft heart. Enjoyable visit.

We took our grandchildren. We all had a great time. The animal exhibits are very nicely done. Everything is kid friendly. There is a petting zoo as well. We took our lunch and ate at tables in the shade. There is also playground equipment that the kids enjoyed. There is a gift shop.

We have been for the holiday lights, as well as for the zoo portion during the day. The lights are rather neat, but some areas are not stroller friendly what so ever. The lines for hot chocolate are always long. The merry go round line was even worse. We didn't even attempt the train. As for the zoo portion, nearly... More

Very nice collection of local animals and plants. The living museum is well laid out and is home to quite a number of local animals, bears, coyotes, mountain lion, etc that can not be in the wild due to an injury. So, it is doubling benefitting that the animals get a safe environment and the public gets to views these... More
