The sand on the beach is mixed with trash. There are no showers. There are no restaurants on the beach, but more towards the road. There was lots of debris after the storm which was not cleaned even on a second day. The road to the beach is dirty, full of primitive shops like on a lowend bazar. The parking is 2 GEL for a day. This is the worst beach on the cost near Batumi. Avoid it. The legend of magnet sand is a scam. You get dirty of the black sand and there is no shower to clean your feet. All people returning from the beach walk dirty back to hotels. Horrible.

It was nice to lay on some dark sand, after rocky beaches in Batumi and Botanical garden. Turns out it is really good for your body and blood circulation too. Avoid parts with too many people though, can get crowded.

The Black sand beach is a nice attraction for us. We stayed two nights and in first night was a big storm that disturb the sea. Second day was a dirty water but was nice to stay on black sand. The sunset was one of the best ever!

The magnetic black sand of the beach is very helpful for health. Very nice place. The disadvantage - the human factor. Unfortunately, people there "forget" their garbage on the beach. Also, the cows from village do come to the beach, which is not so nice.

The beach with magnetic sand is ca 1h drive from Batumi. The road between Ureki and Batumi is new and good.

The beach with magnetic sand is ca 1h drive from Batumi, the road to Ureki is new and really good. It's worth visiting - nice variety to the Batumi beaches which are full of stones. If you believe really hard, I think the magnetic sand will cure your muscles and joints. :-)
The place is a little dirty, no garbage pins anywhere. Small village and there are some caffes/restaurants near the beach. Probably in the high season there will be more of these (I was there in the beginning of June).

I visited this place in May before the tourist season. I could not believe the amount of plastic rubbish littering the beach. It is the dirtiest, most disgusting beach I have ever seen. I wonder whether they attempt to clean it up before the season starts. In fact, the tiny pieces of plastic are so ingrained into the sand that it would be impossible. Waste of time. Nearby Paliostomi Lake is a better option to explore.

When you find a sandy beach on a Black Sea coast of Georgia, you should consider yourself blessed. What else do you need for a summer vacation with kids? The beach is clean an safe.
