About
Established in 1993 the Dolphin House Museum, a 'Poem in Stone' is a three-story dolphin and ocean-inspired museum built using recycled materials by local Biminite author and historian Ashley Saunders. A popular cultural tourist attraction visited daily by international travelers also offers a novel gift shop for souvenir purchases. The Dolphin House Museum is Bimini's most unique and artistic structure and must be seen by anyone visiting this little island in the stream. Inspired by a swim with a pod of Bimini's wild dolphins. Mr. Saunders considers himself a dolphin inspired artist. "The dolphins touched my heart, and made me an artist." - Ashley Saunders

    True Gem To See!
We were greeted by the owner/designer/artist/carpenter and so much more, Ashley Saunders, and given a personal tour. This museum is truly fascinating and we highly recommend it! We loved the tables of money from around the world, and all the greetings in so many languages. Not to mention the business card wall! So excited to be part of it!

    Fascinating!!
Reasonably priced to see this one of a kind museum that one man built from items found in the ocean and leftover materials from the Hilton hotel on top of having all 52 US state license plates. We had a great experience and we were sad that we couldn't finish the tour since we didn't want to miss our taxi, so we didn't miss our ship. We plan on going back again to see what we missed. I highly recommend.
Thank you, Catherine, for rating us five stars, and we hope you have an opportunity to complete your tour of our museum during your next trip to Bimini! Safe travels! 🐬

Must See the Dolphin House: SO WORTH IT!
My husband and I took a cab ride to the Dolphin Hose with Bimbo, greatest cab ride ever, giving us a guided tour of the island before going to the FABULOUS Dolphin Houde. Our house tour, hosted by the builder himself, exceed all expectations! It is a true labor of love and a work of art. A visual delight with surprises around every corner!!

    Magical Place Dolphin Grace
Dolphin House, a magical place, Ashley Saunders, touched by grace, swam with the dolphins, in Bimini sea, artistic wonder, came to be. With only a shovel, the story is told, rose from foundation, strong and bold, 3 stories tall, and roof lookout, made with things, from all about. License plates, from every state, drifting markers, lost their weights, conk shells used, to build the walls, help the house, stand strong and tall. So many things, he built to see, told by dolphins, for you and me, one man's trash, from far and wide, Ashley's treasure, he couldn't hide.

This museum is a must see when you visit Bimini. We stopped by on a whim and were given a private tour by the owner, he was fun and knowledgeable. Mr. Saunders built the house from scratch using all materials found on the beaches and during dives. Materials to build the home are all recycled. . He had so many interesting items and stories about each one. Don't miss this one!

We loved our tour of the Dolphin House! The house is made from materials found on the beaches of Bimini and items, mainly licence plates, sent from past visitors.
This place really is a work of art and worth a visit.

I’m so glad we stopped in to The Dolphin House! We were actually able to see Ashley himself working on his beautiful house he created with his bare hands! Dominic (his son) gave us a tour around the house explaining the history. When you’re in Bimini this building is a must see! Sustainability at its finest. Definitely a hidden gem and fun for the whole family.

Hard to describe this place but very unique. Google it! This is a 20 year labor of love by Mr. Ashley Saunder's. If he is not going to give you a tour, don't go. The man is amazing and you have to hear his story.

We stopped and walked around, but it was $10 to see inside. The host was a bit unfriendly and we decided to not do the inside.
