- A KanjaniDubai, United Arab Emirates4,383 contributionsWonderful butterfly parkBrilliant butterfly park, you can walk through the small yes well organized butterfly enclosure. The park is well organized with parking, clean toilets, a tiny water park (pool and a few slides) for smaller children. There is also a good restaurant on site serving some good local Indonesia cuisine. Recommended…!Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 18, 2023
- Shruthi PThrissur, India31 contributionsMust visit! This was not on our original itinerary but we are glad we made it here- even if one is not into butterflies, I think people should visit just for the feel good vibes here- there's a wonderful eatery inside the park where we had nasi goreng, friend banana with icecream and noodles. It is the tastiest Balinese food we had during our week long stay. The sight of the flowers and butterflies is a beautiful sight. Good for a short picnic too. Loved the place. Took many pictures here.Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 28, 2023
- Dan LBunbury, Australia8,887 contributionsAn enchanting place. We enjoyed a few hours here viewing the butterflies, bonsai garden, orchids, tropical gardens, water park & features, etc. truly a lovely place to visit. Photo opportunities throughout but we had to be quick to get the friendly butterflies focused on the lens. Brilliantly coloured, interesting to see the male skirmishes as they tried to dissuade other female suitors. My wife enjoyed the Pupa Room, the lifecycle of the butterfly and the large butterflies that alighted on her arms and shoulders.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 6, 2024
- RajatGurugram (Gurgaon), India217 contributionsGreat landscapingButterfly Park at Ubud is a hidden gem that people should go and visit. It's a small park with few small animals, beautiful landscaping , and a small water park. This is on the way to Tegallang waterfall and can be visited in an hour. It also has a small food court with good food. Good time to enjoy with kids.Visited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 19, 2024
- DIKA BALI DRIVER TOURKuta, Indonesia745 contributionsButterfly park timeA very sunny morning, we visited the Kemenuh Butterfly Park. A very beautiful place with a flower garden surrounded by beautiful butterflies and the place is quite big. The entrance ticket price is not expensive. So we are very happy to be able to play at this place, thank you🙏Visited August 2024Traveled on businessWritten August 29, 2024

We visited this "attraction" while passing the area as a stopover. The actual butterflies are in a large but enclosed area and I had no issue with that.
HOWEVER, there are birds including birds of prey and reptiles kept in tiny cages scattered round the park. If I had known this I would not have visited. From what we understood, they were looking at expanding that side of the park which is very sad.

If you like butterflies you will love this. You walk amongst them and there are many different types to see. The guy at the end is very passionate and explains the whole life cycle. Negatives are that it is quite small, and dont like the caged birds of prey before you go in. However well worth it.

Traffic is Caos especially heading here from Kuta. We got here around 10am , wasn’t too busy . It was starting to get hot and moist but. But if you pay an extra few dollars you can utilise the swimming area , so don’t forget ya budgie smugglers.
Butterfly park itself was excellent, clean and tidy and the butterfly enclose was very cool.
Hundreds flying around you . Even my mates young fella loved it . Had a cool cocoon enclosure at the end. Definitely a must see , nothing like it in Australia.

A few km from Ubud, an ideal stopover, in our opinion, for those traveling to Bali with pre-school children.
Staying in Ubud we chose this place both as a light interlude between excursions and to offer our 5 year old daughter a "child-friendly" day. In the park there are many varieties of colorful butterflies and flowers and it is ideal for children who can observe these beautiful insects up close, as well as flowers and plants, as well as having fun taking photos among the structures set up (giant nests, reproductions of maxi butterflies, etc.). The most exciting part is the nursery and the possibility of having a giant butterfly on your hand: an unusual experience, which I hope will remain among our daughter's childhood memories.
Once out of the area where the butterflies are found there is a large swimming pool with slides, divided between an area for children and a deeper area (there is a small supplement to pay to access, but it's worth it if you have children because they have fun and you can rest and relax). There are free sunbeds and umbrellas available and there is a bar-restaurant service, which is also as cheap as the other restaurants in the Ubud area (honestly, given the location, we thought it would be slightly more expensive). Both the traditional nasi goreng and the seafood nasi goreng that we ate were very good.
We combined this experience with a visit to a coffee plantation because the goal of the day was relaxation, but not far away there are also the Tegenungan waterfalls.

I have read other reviews that said there were limited species but this may have been during a particular time of year. Our experience was full of different species and was overall a great experience for my wife, myself and 2yo daughter.
The butterflies often land nearby and it is fascinating for the family to watch them feed and bathe in the sun. We even had a few of the butterflies land on us and this was a real thrill for my daughter (and wife)
The part is not huge but different area attract different species and so is worth to spent the time walking around a couple of times.
There is also an area where you can hold and touch the very beautiful / impressive Atlas Moths and also some giant stick insects. In this area you can also experience the hatching of butterflies / moths from cocoons / chrysalis
Overall I think if you spend the time here you will get your money worth. My family really enjoyed it and we would recommend it.

Be sure to take your time walking through the park, you can miss a lot if you don't. Also, be sure to visit the hut where they keep the Atlas moths and stick bugs. They'll teach you all about them and let you hold them.

The park was set in lovely grounds with orchid bonsai and wildlife enclosures. There wasn't a great range of butterflies but the were amazing to see. There is even a chance for a dip with a pool provided and restaurant. The carvings in the souvenir shop are outstanding
