Not far from the parque, at the end of one of its streets, I found this place by the river to be a pleasant surprise and a nice change from the usual views of the central plazas. You can continue from there to the view...More

A nice bridge but nothing extraordinary. It was nice this was included in the old town walking tour. The history of the bridge is more interesting than the bridge itself.

It is a nice bridge and nice to go by when you are in Popayan, but not that special to travel especially to visit.

We visited the bridge as part of the free walking tour. If you're from Europe its pretty identical with the bridges at home (in central and South America this design of Bridge is a rare occurrence). Although what it's made from is bizarre - ingredients...More

The humiliation bridge has a fascinating history. Its nice to take a stroll over and then head back over the smaller bridge to appreciate its architecture. The cement was a mixture of 4 materials, 2 of which are Ox Blood and Shells. Be sure to...More
