This is a wonderful slice of Scotland. Remote but not isolated. Stunning views even on a wet and windy day. Well worth the long journey from almost anywhere else!

Driving into tongue from high the area looks incredible. Glorious colours in the water and the road crossing the water looks epic. We stopped and took loads of photos as the skies were stunning as was everything else. Part of the Northwest 500 so if...More

We have driven the NC500 route several times in various weather and never fail to be awed by the extraordinary beauty of the ever changing scenery. One of the most beautiful views is over Kyle of Tongue as you approach from above, personally I feel...More

The reason why this place makes it so lovely is that the scenery changes by the day or better by the hour. It's never a dull moment here and you'll love to see those changes, weather it's the sunset or the sunrise.

A beautiful area with gold sandy beaches, stunning views and interesting geology. Be careful as roads are narrow with passing places- be considerate and cautious!

A great wee stop on the NC500; with a fantastic view south across the Kyle, at any time of the tide, to Ben Hope and Ben Loyal. Chances of otters and eagles, although more likely to see eider, twite, linnet and small shorebirds. Always worth...More

We had the most amazing tour from Tongue South past Loch Loyal to Altnaharra and then west on every narrow singletrack road where the passing places were virtually non existent. But all worth it for the magnificence of the mountain scenery.

My favourite place in the UK. Nowhere has better scenery. Make sure of visiting Talmine and walk along the coast from there.
