Please DON’T pay for a ticket to this place. It’s obviously not worth it. If you buy a ticket you will support a place that holds reptiles and animals in a cave that do not have access to sunlight. These reptiles and animals do not have any space and they appear to not be alive. I guess a lot of them are sick or something, and can understand that because it was very dirty and the water was not clean at all. These animals deserves so much better. It was an AWFUL place and a TERRIBLE experience and I am referring to the cave with reptiles and animals, the rest was ok but definitely not worth it.

The cave is very interesting and worth the small fee but the animals in cages is quite distressing. There are lots of turtles/snakes/lizards in cages so small they can hardly move. One turtle couldn’t even turn around in the glass container it was in.

Cave paintings are lovely but I wish I'd not seen the caged reptiles in the awful dungeon of reptiles at the back of the cave, it was like something from a horror film. The giant albino snapping turtle that lives at the back, in the dark in a bowl, that it can never escape from was the saddest thing I've seen in so long. Avoid if you have a soul.

If you're at Batu Caves you might as well make the most of what else is about. With your back to Batu turn right towards the rail station. These are on your right as you walk down. Impressive inside - so much work, and so brilliantly lit. Not seen anything like this before. Cheap to get in.

We decided to explore this after visiting Batu Caves. While the initial walk and cave here are beautiful, there is a room at the back filled with animals in captivity. Horrible conditions - should be force to close. Very disturbing.
Do not support this venue.

I was absolutely sick when i realised that i paid 15Myr to support the most disgusting animal cruelty...

I thought I was paying to see a special part of the cave, but instead I walked to the depths of the cave to find a zoo which had reptiles, turtles, and other mammals, in the smartest filthiest cages, that have never seen a ray of the sun. I was sick. The reptiles looked sick and the raccoon was pacing with so much distress.

I engaged in a conversation with the keeper, who admitted to me that the owner of the zoo buys and trades exotic animals. He showed me photos of all types of animals, and reptiles, including Lynxes, Serval and Cheetah cubs. This guy is clearly buying from, or part of, the illegal wildlife trade!!!

When I questioned the keeper as to how the man got the animals and why he had photos with himself and endangered animals at his home, and that it was illegal, he got very nervous and harshly asked me to leave. I am trying to find out how to report this place to authorities.

Please please please don't go!!!

Weird, crazy, psychadelic. I think you will either really not like this place or wonder, like me, why it is not one of the top KL tourist attracttions.

I am a humble tourist, in no way affiliated with the Cave Villa - though I wish I owned it!

I think most people just walk by here thinking it is a nice koi pond, not realizing the joy and insanity inside. There are dancers (sort of sitting around waiting for someone to arrive), snakes (I avoided the reptile cave), turkeys and other birds running around, some art for sale. But the real attraction for me were the two huge caves full of 3-d scenes from the Hindu cosmology all lit up in a spectrum of lights and paintedin a blinding pallet of colors.

A little spooky. A lot groovy. I want to film a movie in the joint. A 60's traveling funk band gets lost on a substance fueled road trip and wakes up inside this cave.

It's huge! It was one of the most amazing things I saw in Malaysia. I was in the cave alone with a sense of absolute wonder and amazement. Years and years of work must have gone into this.

Look at the pictures and you will know whether or not you will like it. I did. I talked about it w/ friends who live in KL and they were unaware it existed.

Basically this is the place just to the left if you are facing the huge stairs up to the Batu Caves (which are, of course, well worth a visit as well - though secretly I enjoyed the Cave Villa more).

You pay 15 MR to see a small cave with poor animals kept in really bad conditions and if you want to take a picture of the parrots or some snakes you have to pay again 10 MR. Unfriendly rip off staff.
The "dance" was not worth any MR or time, too. Im really disappointed.

Snakes in a cave? That's exactly what you get when you visit Cave Villa. Thankfully for most, the snakes are confined in exhibit tanks. There's a huge number of reptile and amphibian species on display, including the impressive king cobra. Outside the cave, one can take photographs with an assortment of birds and animals such as an albino skunk. It's so adorable! If you visit this attraction, do look for Arun and Resh. They have a wealth of experience and will gladly share their knowledge with you.

This is waste of time and money. Animals are kept in bad condition, look distressed. Other so called arts are poor design. Not worth at all.
