We were appalled and gripped by the merciless Inquisition, and the various kinds of terrible ways of causing excruciating pain causing a slow death which you could inflict on your enemy. We also found it handy to come back, avert our gaze, and use the...More

We decided to give this place a go, expecting the instruments of torture to be set out and explained in a sensitive way for the instruments of horror they were. I also expected it to be adult only. Unfortunately although there were clear signs up...More

We went in on the off chance and were pleasantly surprised. The items were gruesome but well explained. It was reasonable at 4 euros. I would recommend this museum

A fascinating but pretty gruesome museum which takes you through different forms of torture and punishment over the years. The museum is small and set over 3 levels which take around 45 minutes to cover.

This was really more of a tourist trap. They did have old torture devices on display but the cost was high for what you got.

not funny at all. Repulsively gruesome displays, but.,.,uh...very well done? We stopped in because it was raining but historically very good museum. You will not sleep well. I would NOT - NOT - take kids there, even teenagers.

Part of the medieval history of Spain and the Spanish catholic church. Stunning how a beautiful and quaint town could harbor such terror and horror to torture its own citizens. Quite a contrast and worth observing.

We visited this museum on a trip to this lovely town. A look mainly at torture equipment from the past and more shockingly some (not in the museum) still in use.

I think you went to a different place. I visited this museum two days ago and was operating, complete and very interesting.
