not funny at all. Repulsively gruesome displays, but.,.,uh...very well done? We stopped in because it was raining but historically very good museum. You will not sleep well. I would NOT - NOT - take kids there, even teenagers.
Part of the medieval history of Spain and the Spanish catholic church. Stunning how a beautiful and quaint town could harbor such terror and horror to torture its own citizens. Quite a contrast and worth observing.
It’s called the museum of the inquisition but it’s not really hat at all. Come if you want to find many instruments of torture displayed and their use described in fairly minute detail.

Well worth a visit...a bit like the one in Prague but a bit bigger as i recall. On the positive side it’s great that we weren’t born too early where these things seemed to have been commonplace. However I cannot understand taking 5 year olds....More
