This attraction is a bit over hyped here. I would still suggest to go if you want some original experience since the train is old and cute and the Soller town and marina is nice too. Probably lots of good restaurants and cafees. Also a...More

We arrived early to buy tickets then grab breakfast - when we saw everyone heading onto the train 40 minutes before departure we just grabbed water and snacks and headed on board. Saw no problem with seats for everyone or any crowd control issues. A...More

I've just returned from a delightful trip to Port Soller on this lovely old train. We caught the 10.00 am train (first one of the day). It is quite a costly trip so, having read some of the other reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided...More

If you are staying in Palma or the area around it, the Ferrocarril de Soller enables you to see some of the north of Mallorca while having a pleasant day out. As we were already in the north we joined the train at Bunyola. It’s...More

This turned out to be nothing special, most of the journey is spent going through dark, dank and smelly tunnels, one was at least 6 minutes long. We felt that it was a waste of money as at the end of the journey all there...More

Booked onto the 6 oclock train back to Palma, didn't leave till around quarter to 7, train was packed. Had been to Soller previously so that may be the reason I wasn't very impressed with the views from the train. I much preferred hiring a...More

Did this train ride as part of another tour, was so beautiful and you get to see many views and go through tunnels through the mountains.

Travelling in carriages which are over 100years old creates a novel atmospher of how travels changed. These beautifully restored and maintained vehicles have beautifully varnished mahogany carrages with polished brass fittings. Be prepared for a slow journey of about an hour from Palma to Soller...More

The train trip was good going out but coming back was delayed and overcrowded. Some of the views were good but I wondered if they might have been more impressive if we had taken the bus from Palma. The biggest problem was with the tram...More

Yes the train stops there but the price maybe more than a return trip from Palma. Also you may not get a seat as some people found when we did our visit.
Hello - We are coming to Majorca in a few weeks time and would love to do this train/tram trip. However my husband has some walking difficulties and needs to use a 4 wheeled foldable walking aid. Would he be able to take this on the train and tram, that is, lift it on and leave it folded while on the ride? He can walk but not very far without his walker. Thanks for any advice.

People come on the train/tram with strollers so this shouldn't be a problem. The trams are smaller and can be crowded. When we arrived in Soler everyone crammed onto the tram, even though the conductor kept indicating a... More
