Go every year to the museum which was Benassars. house and has now been renovated and exhibits a lot of his originals. You can buy prints for little money to take home and have framed and remind you of sunny Mallorca in the miserable winter. They can be full of life in bright colours to wake up any room

A must see when in Pollenca
Sep 2018 • Friends
If you like art, local stories and people and are happy to wander around a quiet house filled with paintings by this man, then his house is a Must See. They will charge you 3€ to get in, and you can spend as much time as you like looking at the paintings, sculptures and the home itself. Really interesting to learn more about this prolific local artist.

Excellent little museum
Sep 2018 • Couples
This is a great museum dedicated to the art of Dionis Bennassar who was from Pollensa. It includes paintings of very varied kinds, sculpture and pottery. It is set out very well and is beautiful to wander around and they have kept his easel and paints etc as it was when he had his studio there. Good shop selling reasonable priced prints. Well worth the 3 euros entrance fee and the slightly off the beaten track location.

Enlightening!

A few years ago we bought some prints from a small gallery in Pollenca Old Town, they are scenes of Majorcan beaches each one different and colorful and were a lovely reminder of our favorite places, my husband searched for some interesting things to do this year and this museum came up, he recognized the paintings strait away and so we had to visit. A lovely house with a nice feel and lots of paintings to look at, some quite unusual so I wouldn't say I loved them all as quite an eclectic range, but definitely worth a visit.

Great Museum

I didn't really know anything about Dionis Bennasar before I arrived in Majorca but our tour guide said this was an interesting place to visit and being an art fan I decided to call in whilst visiting Pollenca. It was an charming small museum with lots of the artist's work displayed and even his studio as he left it. The house was well laid out over three floors in a small street not far from the main square. It's a great place to wile away an hour or so. There is a small shop and cafe as well where you can purchase a few items or have a drink.

Worth seeking out
May 2017 • Couples
This is a little out of the mainstream Pollenca bar and restaurant area but is worth seeking out. We only visited after spotting a sign high on a wall during our nightly walk from our villa on the outskirts to the centre of town. It's a fascinating little house packed full of Bennassar - who I'd heard of but knew very little about - pictures and memorabilia. Well worth a visit.

There is also an exhibition of his paintings to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his death on in the church next to the Pollenca museum just now which is worth visiting too.

A little gem of a gallery
Apr 2017 • Couples
We followed the signs around Pollença to this art gallery come museum situated in a back street of the town. It's well worth a visit if you like art and this is a great introduction to local Mallorcan artist Dionis Bennassar, with the added charm that the gallery is actually situated in his former town house; indeed some of his belongings and painting materials are also on exhibit.
There is a small entrance fee and the well arranged paintings are spread over three floors. A definite small diversion for an hour.
