As we walked around Pollenca, we stumbled in front of this museum . The entrance is free and the staff was friendly . We visited this strange assortment of different art, some were historic, some gothic and some contemporary. I found it not to my taste. Still a lovely 45 minute visit.

30 - 45 minutes is enough time to see the museum.
A strange assortment of exhibits - a few prehistoric finds, some gothic church panels, some contemporary art and a Tibetan mandala.
The biggest collection is works of art by the artist Atilo Boveri which are quite interesting.
The cloister is also worth seeing.
Free entrance and friendly staff.
Worth seeing if you are visiting Pollensa but not worth a special visit

Went back to Pollenca as I had not been able to visit the museum on a previous trip into the town. Left quite disappointed, I was expecting a museum with artefacts and some history of the town, not an art gallery and a very small one at that. That is not to say that its not worth a visit if you are visiting the town, but if I had known that the museum was in fact an art gallery before I would not have made the second visit to the main town of Pollenca.

Saludos

The Buddhist Mandala is a must , it is in a room of it's own with explanations, of the various stages of karma, around the walls.
If you only have one "piece of culture" on your holiday, then make this it.
The feeling of peace and serenity you get from just being in the room is amazing

What a great museum which is really principally an art gallery. A broad range of artwork from mediaeval gothic, through early 20th century and then modern art. We especially enjoyed the Bolvari paintings. Definitely worth a visit!

We really liked this museum. As others have said, there is a lot of art rather than "traditional" museum content, but there is a very interesting section on prehistoric burials in caves around Pollensa, which was fascinating and included sarcophagus in the form of bulls as these animals were worshipped at one time. The building itself is also very old and the cloistered courtyard is very beautiful, although the interior of the museum has been designed to be modern and airy. All in all, when it is free and in a lovely setting, I cannot see what there could be to complain about!

This free museum is well worth an hour out of the hot sun. I think our favourite exhibit was the large sand sculpture/picture, which was well presented. A handy toilet stop near the bus stop !

We visited this museum enjoying the story of the last 40 years of Pollenca . I do not know when the exhibition ends unfortunately but well worth a visit . More interestingly it was a free entry .
