The center provides different useful leaflets in more languages, books and they have a great educational exhibition of ethnography there. Staff speaks English. Upstairs we had a tea, the restaurant is in Alpine style, wooden furniture and beverages for reasonable price. We bought there a fantastic local organic sausages and a package of herbal tea.
Across the street there is a small local restaurants and cash machine in case you need to withdraw money. Parking and wifi available too.

We started our day here by asking for a free map. They explained how to do the Panoramic Drive and tips for when to go. There are also nice toilets and we filled our water and there is a place to change a baby. It was very modern and new. Staff spoke English well and were helpful.

Beautifuly renoved building in the center of village hosts information center, restaurant and a post Office. The girl in charge was very atentive and knew a lot abolut village, region, local products. There are several products for sale, even some traditional food - you have to try sirnek, if you like strong cheese taste! Restaurant looks more like friendly meeting room, with chessboard, play corner for children and also some items for sale. A must stop before you go around!

Although a bit late in the evening we decided to visit Rinka center in a search for information what places to visit nearby in the upcoming weekend.
A lovely lady explaind us nearby highlights, how to come there and about a history and life of people in Solcava. It was a pleasant talk, we went home equipped with new plans what to see where to eat and when is the local jubilee party planned. Wojld recommend a visit at least for info brochures and a map. Don't believe there is only 15 minutes to famous 700 y old yew tree. Unless you are fit enough as local people are 😉

You can find out here more on the local history, watch a film and admire atrefacts. Not the most exciting place if you are not a huge fan and interested in local details.

Our car had a flat tire, and we asked the visitor center staff where we could find a car repair place. They sprang into action, referring us first to the gas station for air, and then to a very professional auto repair place 30 km away. The staff drew detailed directions on a map of the area, wrote down the name and address and phone number, and told us to hurry up and go as the place would close at noon! We were extremely grateful because we would never have found the repair shop on our own.

When you are visiting Savinja valley, you can’t miss Rinka tourist center. It is a bar, information center, small souvenir shop, all near the church. Small problem is parking in summer season. Five or six places near the entrance are occupied. Inner place is wooden structure with a lot of light and toilettes in the lower floor. It is easy to get information, fresh drinks and some snacks. Souvenirs are not the best collection for different visitors.
