Lovely homely pub with old world charm great for a quiet drink and a chat while enjoying the old time lrish atmosphere well worth a visit

Small and firendly I would highly recommend this no frill pub. Interior though recently done up a little, is stil authentic.

Nicely decorated and clean with a friendly atmosphere and staff. Great to visit a good traditional local Irish pub.

Great small quaint place. Stopped in on a miserable night out and ended up staying. Walls full of memorabilia barman was decent sound man, got chatting to him as we were leaving. Can tell you whatever you need to know about the town.

Very overcrowded and so noisy couldn't hear myself talk. Told you will get a great pint of guinness though.

We had presumed that the Antique Tavern served food when we entered on Saturday; however, none was available. The friendly young barman served up a lovely pint of Guinness in this small pub. He informed us that it catered for locals but at one time had been renowned for meals and the kitchen remains there. Pity (there is actually an... More

Great to see a good old fashioned Irish pub at its best. Very friendly, like stepping back in time. Love it.

Situated along the river Slaney is the best traditional pub ever seen. Great ambience and service. The facade makes most of the difference though
