This is a treasure of a beach so wide and so long and with great car parks and you feel as if you are stepping back in time with the amusements and coffee / tea room , you would think the beach was in the South of France and you can see the boats =come and go from Rosslare

This beach is a paradise for people who like anything to do with the beach. You won’t find sun beds or umbrellas, but you will find lovely clear water, (not too deep), clean sand, plenty of space, Lots of nature in the sand dunes and indeed the odd naturist. Even on a busy day there is plenty of room to spread out and sunbathe. The beach was the setting for the film “Private Ryan”, so either recall the scenes or let the children make up their own scenes, is a good way to spend the time. To walk the length of the beach is a challenge as it seems to stretch into the distance, but do try it (worth the challenge and the exercise).
