Nice sheltered bay, reasonable beach, some stones. Clear blue, clean water. Everywhere immaculately clean. Plenty of parking and beach front tavernas/ restaurants. A very pleasant place.

This beach had the most beautiful sunsets starting at pale pink and finishing off at bright red as it went down. Lovely. Around the corner at Plakias West Beach it was so quaint with the cliffs which went down to the sea.

This is a great beach. Crystal waters, great snorkelling and a couple of beach bars for a frappe. Sand and shingle along the shore line makes for an easy entry into the sea that gently slopes so great for kids. The beds were 5 euros...More

Thanks to the large stretch of the beach it doesn't become crowded, meaning that most of the time you really don't have other people crawling all over you on the beach chairs. Let's face it, you go to Plakias in order to get away from...More

A lovely beach & resort...... no high rise, corporate hotels or the like; just great Cretan hospitality. Nice (longish) sandy beach, a few rocks & boulders near the 'boaty end' but then hey, that's why you're on a boat πŸ™„ Plenty of sunbeds & parasols...More

Yes! Also easy from Heraklion too. Just need to see which flight times suit you; then make the judgement call of which airport you fly to..... you can book your taxi online if you prefer. Easy 😎
