Very clean and easy to access from parking car, can get windy but is good alien for beds etc. Not commercial restaurants are reasonable. Definitely worth a visit

Drove to Damnoni beach from Rethymnon a few days ago. The drive was interesting and we stopped at a layby to admire the view of the gorge. Didn't stay out of the car for long though as it was very windy. Arrived and parked up...More

Great wide beach with real (not imported) sand surrounded by impressive hills and quiet location with the backdrop of two/three cosy tavernas serving great food at value prices.

No exactly (it is one inside the hotel which is there, Hapimag). But the nearest are in Plakias (and also in Lefcogia village in the way to Rethimno). Both are about five minutes with car.
