The temple is a dedication to the Lord Vishnu, incarnation Lord Rangji. It is believed that the temple was commissioned in 1823 by Seth Puran Mal Ganeriwal who was from Hyderabad. There are idols of other gods as well in the temple such as those of Goddamaji, Goddess Laxmi, Lord Krishna and Shri Ramanujacharya. Photography i not allowed inside the temple. You can see some good examples of paintings and frescoes on the walls

Situated near Pushkar Lake, it is one of the famous Hindu temples of Pushkar. The temple has a nice architecture, the high-rising Gopuram also reflects South Indian architecture and adds more charm to the temple. Rangji Temple is dedicated to Lord Ranga, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. There are idols of other gods as well in the temple such as Goddess Laxmi, Lord Krishna and Shri Ramanujacharya. Followers / devotees visit the temple to pray and give homage to the deities of the temple

The temple is dedicated to Rangaji incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The temple is of South Indian architecture style and was built in 1823 by Sheth Puranmal. This is a huge temple having a Gopuram. There is also an image of Garuda in the temple. A leading temple of Pushkar. A nice visit.

Foreigners not allowed. Not just inside the temple, but even on the temple grounds. Only place in India that I encountered this. If they want to reduce the number of people they should make a charge for tourists, but to make an outright ban based on non-Indian nationality is just wrong.

Temple dedicated to yet another incarnation of Lord Vishnu, but only accessible for Hindus. So take your photo from the gate and move on.

So after a lot of arguments with my wife, I reluctantly agreed to visit this temple in the mornings. We went around 10 am. You have to cross the market for a fair bit to reach the temple lane which should come on your right, if you are coming from the opposite of Brahma temple. We took a rickshaw who dropped us at the gates. The temple was clean, very few visitors and was huge. The complex is lovely on a winter morning. The main statue is very soothing, beautiful and you end up staring at it for a long time. You are suddenly taken in by a strong feeling of calm. But the real surprise of the temple is when you get an Tulsi Aarti done for Rs.21 for the entire family. For this you have to come closer to the main statue and lo and behold a most beautiful statue of Lord Vishnu resting on Sheshnag would reveal itself on your right. It literally took our breath away, probably with the surprise factor included. Believe me, its worth it. The pandit here goes by the name of Satyam. He is a nice young man, very enthusiastic, if you are willing to en quire more about the temple. but in case you want to learn bucketloads about Pushkar and the stories behind it, do meet the caretaker of this place. A fantastic gentleman, very knowledgeable and ever ready to give you tit bits about the place. We spent much more time than we had allotted to this place, all the time listening to him and it was worth it. No photographs allowed here. There is a beautiful statue of Devi Lakshmi too, in the compound. Parikrma is recommended. The temple is given an appearance of 'garuda' the king of birds. You can avoid the museum.
