A good place to visit while in Pushkar. You can spend few mins while near the lake. It gets crowded in the day

BE AWARE!!!

BE AWARE!!!

Full with scammers: they will take you for a prayer, do some rituals and make you pay much as possible. They are NO religious representatives but thieves.

Take note that they are VERY persistent, DO call police for real if they don't go, police will back you here, these guys are out of town.

In our case we got a group of scammers that became very AGRESIVE and *treatend us with KILLING US*.

PLEASE DO TAKE COUTION

*See pic: 6 people getting scammed in full daylight at the same time, it is outrageous.

quite, not so crowded

I enjoyed the visit of this temple more than the more popular Brahma one, as this was not so crowded. I was in town during the camel festival, so finding quite places wasn't that easy.

Fantastic example
Feb 2018
We visited the Atmeshwar Temple in the early morning after walking to it through the market which was beginning to open. As you have to enter this location in bare feet, you can buy socks from the small cafe at the foot of the steps. You are not allowed to enter this Temple with phones or cameras. Even in the early morning the Temple was busy, but we were made very welcome and the was a lot to see, but you do not need more than an hour, before you head down to the Lake.

Not better or worse
Oct 2016 • Solo
Nothing special. Not better and mostly not worse than other temples in Pushkar. But its bad location is bad for its fame. Although it stands very close to the main market road. As soon as you pass the mosque, you should turn not to the left, where you lead the way to Brahma temple, but to the right and after about 60 meters turn left. Or the second option – to find the "Diamond hotel" (I stayed there), go straight along this street without turning anywhere. There will still be something like a small garden. Keep in mind – this temple is often confused with the more famous Apteshwar temple – apparently because of the similar name.

A temple devoted to Brahma, with a fantastic outlook.
Nov 2016 • Couples
This temple is somewhat hidden away. It is worth the visit, as it is apparently the only one devoted to Brahma the senior of the Hindu Gods. But it is very crowded, as most Hindus travel there in their lifetime. You have to line up and wait for up to an hour to get to the door in the busy perods.
