Vibrant, colorful interesting ceilings + walls of frescoes. Some are mostly intact...others are barely still visible. We all wishes preservation would be taken more seriously.

Raja Mahal is the heart of the palace complex in Orchha, and has magnificent wall and ceiling paintings, most of which are disappearing, sadly, but still stupendous and very, very impressive indeed!

Another marvel in India. Great setting with fantastic views from the top floors. See the back doors for wonderful carvings. Get lost walking up and down the many tiny (and steep) stairways. Watch if you have small children as some window spaces have no guards...More
