Not to be confused with the adjacent Chaturbhuj temple, which is also dedicated to Ram. This is a popular temple despite being well off the main tourist circuit. It’s popular with Ram devotees, which I’m told because it’s the only one where Lord Ram is worshipped as a king. The building is not the ornate North Indian style architecture as I would’ve expected, being a very modern Hindu style. Looks wise, it’s unremarkable. I went inside and it was okay. I guess need to be a devotee to really appreciate it.

Visited this temple on 15th October. Here Lord Rama is worshipped as a king with his followers. Due to covid only darshan is allowed . No offerings of flower orcprasad was allowed. Temple authority following all norms. Must visit for all.
Just opposite to this temple is the Orchha fort. Beside the temple is the famous Chaturbhuj temple.

The heritage town Orchha is clustered around Ram Raja Temple where Ram worshipped as a king. Orchha and neighboring areas are filled with forts temples and palaces. Thousands of devotees come in the temple and Armed salutation is provided to Lord Ram every day. The temple has a specific schedule for Darshan. Nice place to visit.

Lord Sri Ram is worshipped as Raja Ram.
The beautiful "vigrah" of Prabhu Ram and Maa Janki will forever be engraved in your heart. Lord resides in a palace. The temple timings are unlike any other Hindu temple.
Beautiful courtyard and wonderful 45 minutes Aarti is a delight for the eyes and heart.
Must visit.

This site in Orcha is worth a visit. It is not so imposing from the outside and we did not go in. It seems we got our timing wrong and we missed the rousing and enthusiastic locals chants. Prayers are at morning. lunchtime and evening. Cameras and leather articles have to be left outside.

"Ram Raja" - the name itself says that here lord Ram is worshipped as a king hence the temple looks like palace. The day we went here was a day for "Chattuja" hence temple was crowded. We reached to main deity by other way and had a quick and peaceful darshan.
There are many sweet shops outside the pathway on temple selling Prasad as well as fast food. Once can try milk cake here which dissolves in your mouth as soon as you eat it.
All in all a great place to visit with your near and dear one and have blessings of Shri Ram !!

The Ram Raja Temple is an important tourist attraction. There is a fascinating tale behind the history of the Ram Raja Temple. The temple was originally a palace. So the traditional temple architecture and style is not seen in the Ram Raja Temple, Orchha.
