Located on a small hillock it offers amazing views of the city. The temple premises are quite clean and peaceful. The temple closes in the afternoon between 12-4 pm. Photography is not allowed inside the temple. There is a nice museum nearby with lot of sculptures and other archaeological finds.

This is one of most visited place by me in Bhopal. The temple is very spacious and having good architecture. The place is good for photography , go in morning or evening to capture nice back drop pictures.

Best season : Best month is Jan and Feb of the year as you will get beautiful flowers in the garden.
Best time : Evening so that we will nice view of bhopal and the evening breeze.

In India Birla's have constructed a number of Laksminarayan Temples at different cities and this is one of them. A very good temple. Well constructed and situated on the top of Arera hills. You can have very good view of old Bhopal, small lake, old Vidhan sabha etc.The idol is very soothing and made of white marble. Big hall which can accommodate more than 500 devotees at a time.

My visit to the Birla owned Laxmi Narayan Temple in Bhopal was a terrible experience. Never in any of the temples in India, I have seen visitors and pilgrims being turned out of the temple. On 26th August, 2010, the Manager Mr. M. P. Sharma turned out the visitors from the Laxmi Narayan temple premises at 10:30 a.m. in the morning that is during darshan hours, as he was clicking photographs of the deities to send them to the Birlas at Kolkata. It will be very difficult to forget this incident considering the amount and time I had spent to reach the temple in Bhopal from Mumbai.

This Birla Mandir is on a hillock and provides a scenic view. attracts number of devotees on certain days. The mandir is well maintained. Ok for a visit since it is conveniently located, otherwise leave it to the devotees.

If you are to Bhopal, then do visit birla mandir. Famous temple of city of lakes Bhopal.Goddess laksmi and lord vishnu are worshiped here. The real beauty lies in the architectural and traditional touches given to the temple. You can sit and relax in the lawns outside the temple.

Birlas are known for their Lakshmi Narayan temples nationwide and if one has seen One from Jaipur white sangmarmar beauty then definitely look wise it dosent stands any were in architecture. But Location of this temple is one of its kind .The view of Bhopal as a city can messemerize and if Bhopal had some point system to see this would have definately one point to enjoy the bliss .
As far as statues are concerned they are great as Birlas never compromise on that. So Shraddha se bhi jaye aur Bhopal ka divya darshan ke liye bhi
