No word to express how the place was. The total ambiere gives us peace. I really loved that place. The temples of Hampi, its monolithic sculptures and monuments, attract the traveler because of their excellent workmanship.

Our guide Bhanu made the trip awesome for us. He is very knowledgeable in an experiential way that it is evident he is not just rattling out information. His passion for the work is admirable. He has a great attitude and was able to advise us on well on the sights we can cover. If its hampi you've got to see it with Bhanu.

Our Guide Bhanu Prakash was nothing short of excellent !. A knowledgable guide who takes you to the correct places and explains things with passion can really make your trip.
Bhanu Prakash made our trip really special with his in depth knowledge of the Vijayanagara Empire . Also he was very considerate in tailor making our two day itinerary according to the needs and convenience of my ageing parents .
The Vittala trail and the Tungabhadra trail were truly memorable and Bhanu kept the interest of our group of 7 alive with his interesting Anecdotes of life in ancient Hampi. It is rare to find guides like him, sons of the soil who are so committed to telling and passing on history accurately.
If you are planning to visit Hampi and looking for a guide , look no further! I would recommend this tour strongly and tell all my friends and acquaintances about it!! 😊

Three days are required for visiting everything under the group of monuments at Hampi. Just a few important tips to travelers:
1. Plan your journey in the monsoon and winter seasons of India.
2. Carry a water bottle always with you.
3. Wear good shoes with a nice gripping sole.
4. Take hotels near the Virupaksha temple for visiting everything within walking distance.
5. Hampi can be best viewed through bicycle riding. Rent a bicycle there.
6. Mobile signal/internet connection can be a problem at few of the monuments.

We engaged the services of Vijay to take us around hampi attractions for a day. He was punctual. His rickshaw was in great condition. He was extremely courteous and polite and took us around hampi and kishkinda and showed us around with so much interest. He was a quasi guide as well and briefed us in short about each place. He also recommended s beautiful local restaurant for lunch. His entire endeavour in the day was to ensure our satisfaction with hampi. We would highly recommend engaging Vijays' service. His number is 9483175782

I am not sure what Group of Monuments includes. It is listed in tripadvisor as a separate attraction but better classification would be calling this a sacred complex in Hampi which includes
1. Virupaksha Temple
2. Sasivekalu Ganesha
3. Kadalekalu Ganesha
4. Krishna Temple
5. Ugra Narsinmha Statue
6. Monolith Shivlinga
7. Ancient Pathway

Other attractions like Hazaraarama Temple, Lotus Mahal, Elephant Stables, Mahanavami Dibba and Queens Bath are on the other side and can be called part of Royal Complex/Enclosure.

Vijay Vitthala Temple, Achyutrama Temple and Konandarama Temple ruins are kind of big complexes on their own and are not part of Sacred or Royal Complex.

Matang Hills (People call this Sugreeva Hills), Anjneri Hills (Birthplace of Hanuman, people also call this Monkey Temple) are hillocks. Matang Hill is on Hampi side of Tungabhadra while Anjneri temple is on the other side (Sanapur) where Hippie Island used to be.

Everything, every one of the above have a charm of their own and keep time with you to cover all of them giving own sweet time.

Tip - Get a knowledgeable guide. I am someone who is great with history and mythology, better than most but still found the guide to be extremely helpful.
