Best place for starters

I miss it so badly it's like one small family we have. People who want to start meditation must do it one time

People respect the quiet and a saintly preacher gradually takes you from your current state of body and mind into meditation.

Lovely place for guided morning meditation, was a 30 minute session, went so quickly, beautiful setting. You can do a 10 day course called Tushita which teaches Buddist pholosophy and meditation.

The beautiful Tibetan temple is set amongst a gorgeous wooded forest. A very tranquil environment only 5 mins walk to Macleod Ganj and the hustle and bustle seems a world away! We went to the drop in meditation classes for a week lead by Tommy from Ireland and really enjoyed them. Cannot recommend enough.

I have been consistently doing silent retreats at Tushita for the last few years. This is really a wonderful blessed place for everyone who is seeking to understand the nature of the mind and develop a happy peaceful life. It runs extremely well organised courses that are very well structured and one studies with a diverse community of international participants... More

TUSHITA means ‘The Place of Joy’, the pure land of the coming Buddha Maitreya, which is a branch of the Kopan Monastery Kopan Hill in Kathmandu, Nepal where retreats are held for months! Tushita has a lot to offer, specially with the increased interest in Buddhist Philosophy and Meditation among Westerners and Indians alike. Courses are given on a regular... More

This center is absolutely wonderful. Lama Zopa and the FTMP have created an amazing retreat and practice space. The library is great as well as practice spaces. The location cannot be beat and the grounds are serene as can be. But I may be biased because this is my practice lineage and I love them so much!

I attended "Introduction to Buddhism" curse in july 2016. The place itself is quite nice, food is tasty and healthy, monkeys, that live around centre are charming. Teachings are very basic and in my case, contradictory. Teacher should not talk about physics and modern science - only to make an impression on audience - if, which was the case, he... More

I did a 10 days Introduction to Buddhism course this July at Tushita. It was a beautiful journey with 100+ people turning into a family by end of the course. A month has passed and now I am realizing more each day how it has transformed me in so many ways. I highly recommend it to everyone who can attend... More
