I attended meditation here 3 days in a row and one of their afternoon lectures by a monk on holy places in India. The meditations were wonderful, given by current students. The complex itself is clean and beautiful, though they ask that you respect the silence. It's easy to get to from a lot of nearby guesthouses by foot or... More

Planned to attend this course for many months and was very excited to be able to come half way around the world to attend. I registered the day the first six months of the year was open for course intake all went very smooth. This for me was the 3rd stop on a multiple stop tour around the world. Unbeknownst... More

Visited this place for drop in guided meditation for a couple of days and was super impressed. This place is so silent and ideal for anybody to meditate. Not many Indians visit this place but its a must visit place if you are in Mcleodganj.

I had been wanting to come to the introduction to Buddhism course for 4 years. Ever since a friend highly recommended it to me. I finally had the opportunity to come to India, for the sole purpose of this course. I had been practicing meditation and studying Buddhist philosophy for 3 years prior to attending and was SO excited for... More

The place is very peaceful, quiet silent retreat in the woods. There is every day a 1h free walk-in session at 9h30 (except for Sundays) It was the first time for us to do a meditation session, and we loved it!

Tushita Meditation Center is perhaps more famous for their Introduction to Buddhism and related courses (silent retreat). It can be life-changing or the best remedy to break free from the never-ending rat-race which consumes our life without ever finding happiness. This isn't a luxury stay and if interested, please think about planning in advance (2-3 months) as the registration process... More

Most serene and emanating peace, this place is worth its name. Meditations are held for students as well as its free for amateurs. Scenic as well.

Have done 2 courses with one beginner's to Buddhism and another on advanced level. The peace and tranquility immediately draws peace on someone and forces to ask questions that we have always avoided. I would recommend doing everyone an advanced course with Geshe La or Geshe Ma and see the changes in you. The Gompa is breathtaking and feels like... More

The 10 day intro to Buddhism course here is life changing! One of the best things I've done in several months traveling around India. The accommodations for courses are clean and comfortable, and the food is wonderful. If you're not enrolled in a course, there are daily free/donation meditation classes and movies a couple times a week. The grounds are... More
