beautiful approach and garden. a people trying to maintain their cultural heritage and handicrafts. they have workshops, a nice temple a japanese garden and a hostel to stay. some of their courses are ten to twelve years

It is a great place with great Tibetan culture. The Institute is very well maintained and is a very peaceful place. You can buy things from the Institute too! The place is awesome! The entrance gate is not so attractive, but you will b surprised once u entre the place. U will b lost and enjoy a lot the landscape and overall beauty.

This is one monastery which was recommended to me by a locals and not where more of tourist gets attracted. Most of the tourist ends up going to Mcleodganj Dalai Lama monastery ... But this is monastery which has an awesome scenic view and peace prevails! Worth visiting this one!

Between Yol and Dharamsala, two km above Sacred School , sits this blissful place filled with water bodies , bamboo stone pathways , a shop and a restaurant serving a 100 varieties of momos. This was the somewhat unexpected pleasure of my visit to Dharamsala. A little hard to find at first it proved one of the highlights of my trip. The Institute facilitates the preservation of Tibettan crafts and culture and supports the local Tibettan population through its work. We visited it on our way to Palampur, and stopped for breakfast and also to explore. Has quite cool exhibits, artefacts and a beautiful premises. The Butter tea is awesome and the shop has interesting knick-knacks.
