This stupa is situated in the market place on the Temple road toward the bus stand.

The stupa is a memorial to the Tibetans who died fighting for the homeland.

Situated in Mcleod Ganj, Namgyalma Stupa is an old Buddhist structure that was built to honour the Tibetan soldiers, who died during the freedom struggle of Tibet. The structure resembles the one built during the 3rd century by King Ashoka, and the stupa portrays an image of Sakyamuni Buddha. Built in a hybrid Indo-Tibetan style, the Buddhist Stupa is surrounded by prayer wheels which devotees turn round while reciting mantras as they move around the shrine.

It is located right on the middle of the road with many shops and restaurants around it. One of the oldest shops belong to Nowrojee established in 1860 is nearby.

This three storied Buddhist stupa is a memorial to those Tibetans who lost their lives fighting for a free Tibet.
The stupa is built with three circular steps to represent the victory of Buddha over the mara of death. So it is called “Stupa of complete victory” or, “Stupa of Blessings”.
A statue of the Sakyamuni Buddha is enshrined in a small chamber at the top.
The stupa is located in the heart of McLeod and surrounded by prayer wheels.
