This place is really historical and near to Mcleodganj Museum, one of the best thing about this temple is round balls. If you are going there then you should visit there. It is walking distance from Mcleodganj chowk.

And if you can learn some buddhist tools for life, much better! I think the best to do in this town is to try to learn direct teaching from a monk, they really have ancient wisdom :)

Entrance is free to the temple. Its nice, peaceful and serene. I walked down from jogiwara road to the temple. It was a nice walk with lot of sovenier shops and stalls in between. Worth a visit. The temple brings calmness within you.

Yes Shots a good idea for immunity. Water only from bottles and please stock enough. There are shops near the monastery. Food you may take dry fruits and nuts which are high density items.
