No vehicle goes to the gate of the temple, but you have to walk amidst the main market of McLedoganj doing shopping and if you like to eat small cafes are also there. It is a huge complex and photography is allowed not only in the premises but also inside the temple.Though it is crowded, but as the area is so large, so gathering is not felt. You can see Buddhist monks reading hymns, mediating in the premises. One thing to remember in this complex is to keep quite as much as possible.Just keep quite and enjoy the beauty.

Dalai Lama Temple set in Dharamshala, the current residence of His Holiness, The Dalai Lama temple has beautiful huge size artefacts of Lord Buddha in the inner Sanctorum .Different postures. One can sit in peace and go thru the rituals and prayers being recited by red robed Buddhist Lamas. One can also see the 24 revolving heavy wood structures while each tourist moves by hand to define the 24 hours chakra of human life.A place worth a visit to understand the teachings and philosophy of Buddhist way of life.
