Nkuringo WS provided all of the in-country support for our charity walk. They are amazing. Alongside all the logistical challenges they endured that we were well fed, supported us during the trek and provided a welcome "home" on our return each day ensuring that the event will remain a treasured memory. We travelled with Nkuringo Walking Safaris in early December on a 12-day trip around Uganda, taking in Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (Gorillas...) and Lakes Bunyonyi and Mutandi. From the planning phase through to the end of our time in the country, the service we received from Nkuringo Walking Safaris was fantastic. The itinerary was well... More

My experience with Nkuringo Walking Safaris was exceptional. Trekking to see the Mountain Gorillas in Uganda is a trip of a lifetime for most people, and being in the capable hands of an expert and fun loving team with a passion and knowledge of the area is the best way to experience this beautiful country. The accommodation and food at... More

I had an absolute blast with Nkuringo walking safaris. From the Lydia assisting me in putting an itinerary together to the guides taking me through Uganda and Rwanda. Lydia was so diligent in emailing and communicating regarding my plans. We made a few changes until I had the exact trip fitting in with my schedule and budget. The absolute best... More

Walking in Nkuringo, Bwindi, the Virungas, and the Kisoro district is a joy with Nkuringo Walking Safaris. They have a team of experts who not only know the region inside out but are able to understand the fitness and capability levels of the visitors and adjust the level of impact accordingly. We did the four day and three night walking safari from Kisoro to Buhoma and we would recommend this to everybody. We met our guido Evaristo at the Nkuringo Gorilla Junction in Kisoro and off we went. After one hour walking we took a canoe over Lake Mutanda with awesome views of the lake and the peaks of Mgahinga. We... More

Having spent 3 days with Agatha from Nkuringo Walking Safaris I cannot praise her enough. Her enthusiasm for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and the life within it is beyond question. If you're looking for someone to guide you through the forest, look no further than Agatha!

We join the Gorilla Tracking on april 2nd at the Nkuringo Gorilla Site. Our Bradt Guide explained that this area had a familly of 21 Gorilla's, which was the reason we chose this track eventhough it was the toughest one. We are young adults of 23/24 and have good fitness. We were not scared for the track as we have... More

We did our first gorilla tracking from Ruhija. Please note that there are 4 different places you can go gorilla trekking in Bwendi National Park. We had been recommended to go from Ruhija as this should be the best place. We only had to trek for 30 min when we found our group. It was absolute amazing. There were 12-13... More
