I managed to get an Uber from Cape Town down to Cape Point (via the penguins on Boulder's Beach). The whole journey took about 3-4 hours, but it was worth it! Cape Point wasn't that busy when I was there on a Saturday afternoon and the walk up isn't too bad so you don't need to use the funicular. It... More

This is a must do if you are anywhere near the Cape. The views are spectacular. Their is some stair climbing if want to go up to the light house, but you can still see breathtaking views from below.

One of the best experiences in a visit to South Africa is to go the Cape Point where The Indian Ocean and The Atlantic Ocean meet each other. Next stop is the Antarctic Continent, but of course but of course it is too far away for one's eyes. You have to pass through the southern Nature Reserve to come to... More

It is worth getting a Wild Card to explore Cape Point properly as there as so many gorgous hikes to go on and Disa Beach must surely be the most beautiful beach in the world. You have to climb down a specially constructed walkway but it is well worth it. Every hike has maganificent views of the sea, amazing floral... More

We went as a family and we really enjoyed the outing. Be prepared for some walking, but don't be worried. There are plenty of benches along the route and the views are amazing. There is a cable car that one can also use, but you should try walking. Also do take the other route down the bottom of the lighthouse... More

We went on 21st March which is Human Rights day in South Africa which could account for the crowds. We queued from the turn off to the national park entry gate for some 40 minutes but it was worth it. Once in the national park it is a pleasant drive to the end of the toll road and although busy... A must. Standing on the point where Indian and Atlantic Ocean meet, I felt like DiCaprio in Titanic while the wind was blowing on my face "I'm the king of the world!!!!!" While walking to the light house you will run into baboons. Kind of scary as long as you don't bring food with you, otherwise they will try to... More

The entrance fee for Cape Point isn't cheap so ensure you not only view Cape Point but also drive through the reserve for views of flora. There is quite a steep stair climb up to the viewing tower so ensure you wear appropriate shoes/ sunscreen and check/research the weather/tides to ensure you get to see the color difference of the... Not quite the end of the world but it's pretty close. You can ride the up to near the lighthouse but it's still a good few steep steps to actually get up to it. That said there are some amazing views from the top. Steps are slightly uneven in places so watch your footing.
