About Shark Explorers
Shark Explorers offers customized shark diving, viewing and filming expeditions which take you directly to the sharks of Southern Africa. We will help you plan your ultimate shark diving experience, viewing or film shoot by making sure you are in the right place at the right time with the best chance of successfully encountering your shark of choice. Our Mission Statement:We believe that we can make a difference by showing people a positive experience with sharks. We don’t believe in misrepresenting them as potential killers for an adrenalin experience to sell tours. We do believe that sharks should be respected as the critically important predators they are. Our specialties are: Great White Sharks Mako Sharks Blue Sharks Sevengill Sharks Cat Sharks Spotted Gully Sharks The ultimate adventure expedition, the annual Sardine Run! In collaboration with our friends and partners we also offer you Tiger Sharks, Whale Sharks, Ragged Tooth Sharks, Bull Sharks, Black tip Sharks, Bronze Whaler Sharks and Dusky Sharks. We will show you these misunderstood creatures like you have never experienced before. Shark Explorers sets the standards and guidelines for responsible shark diving and interactions high. We provide a holistic experience which includes breaking down sensationalistic, adrenaline-hyped advertising, treating sharks with respect, reducing the impact we have on them and their environment, educating divers about their behaviour and the threats they face. Most importantly we want to show you the sheer beauty of these fascinating sharks and give you an experience you won’t forget.

Professional and chill environment. I am a PADI Scuba Instructor: #408060 and I felt completely looked after. I didn't know what to do with myself because everything was handled and communicated so well that all I had to do was set up my gear, get into my wetsuit and then smile for the selfie ;) The dive briefing was thorough and covered all the necessary details: low on air, signals, lost buddy procedure and site specific advice etc. The dive itself was well led on both dives: Seals at Partridge Point and Kelp Forest dive at cow Shark Reef - unfortunately no cow sharks :( But not for a lack of trying :) When we got back to the boat we were treated to a warm towel, many muffin options and even an option of two fruits - an apple or plum! And there were at least three beverage options too! - coke cola, tea and water! AAnd when we got back to the shop we had the absolute pleasure of a warm shower and towels to welcome us back :) And if that wasn't enough, the soap dispenser in the toilet, has a hands free sensor that actually worked!!! It's the small things like that that just make your day, especially with COVID-19 virus going around it was a pleasure to know that just the simple act of washing my hands could be done hands free (^^,). Laugh if you want, but I was thoroughly pleased with a working hands free soap dispenser :) And for each person that made this day absolutely normal in the way that absolute luxury should be normal: Morne` Le Grange, Stefan Swanson, Nina Daniels and Lindy Pieters - Thank you and Tramakasie for doing more than what you were taught and topping that off with passion, enthusiasm and pezaz. See you around for the next one and fingers crossed for great conditions for the blue and mako dives in the future ;) Stay true to the big blue and the big blue will be true to you (*^,)

We had the chance to do the blues and make trip and the inshore diving experience together with shark explorers. It was just amazing to get to know the underwater species of South Africa and learn so many things. We had 3 mako sharks, sevengill shark, the clowns of false bay ;) and tons of different shark species. The crew makes everything possible: well-being, laughter, education, amazing boat rides, seeing even rare animals and having so much fun. It was a pleasure diving with them and I will definitely come back to get this chance again. Special thank to the whole crew! We had the best Valentine’s Day ever :)

This was one of the most professional dive operator I have been with. The team was absolutely amazing. The try everything to get you to see the sharks, so we went out more than 60km to find the makos and we did :). The team is very professional they give a great briefing so you know exactly what’s gonna happen. And what I like the most they are calm and don’t rush or presser you when you are sorting out your gear and stuff. Would definitely go again if I get the chance!

I want to thank this amazing company who helped my father find me in Simon's Town. He had landed was we were due to meet at a location one afternoon. He was confused after being robbed, not in Simon's Town, just outside the train station in CT, so when he got to Simon's Town he was a little lost as to where to meet and no phone to contact me. He went into this company and boy they were amazing. They helped him so much, gave him a drink and got in touch with us, even brinign him to the location. I didn't go shark driving with them but that doesn't matter, my father and I are extremely thankful for the help the staff gave (without us being even being customers) and that goes along way! We will be back in Simon's Town next year and we will no doubt be using your services. Thank you for everything!
