We competed the 5 day Chogoria-Sirimon traverse with Go To Mount Kenya from 14 to 19 October 2017. The hike was wonderful. The walk up from Chogoria is picturesque and slow enough to avoid altitude sickness. Well worth the extra day! Our guide, Charles, was...More

HI! Not too steep or precarious. It is certainly not easy, especialy at that altitude, but it does not seem dangerous. The last bit is tougher then the rest, but it has a metel wire to help up the steep bits. I have a slight... More

You can also easily find buses and vans that go regularly from downtown Nairobi with stops along the way for much cheaper. Ask people when you get there and they will all know where to direct you.
