By far the best times to go are Spring and Fall. Summer it gets a little warm and the train runs along areas that are full forest so not much to see. But where there is - the vista is magnificent. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to the upper deck. Worth the money.

The Christmas train is a great short adventure on the A&M Railroad with story, singing, hot chocolate, games and other activities. But reserve early!!

We loved riding the train to Van Buren. It was such a great family thing to do. The conductors in each car give history and tell stories or at least ours did. The seats were comfortable and we had plenty of room. Some of the best views.

My father is retired engineer and shares same birthday w my grandson so it was the perfect way for them to celebrate together. We could bring snacks/drinks on board but we didn't. They give tokens for drinks snacks with first class tickets and there was a nice variety of things to choose from. The young servers were very attentive and... More

Enjoyed the trip from Springdale to Winslow including the wooden trestle and tunnel on a lovely Sunday afternoon. The staff was attentive and knowledgable making the trip both fun and educational.

We had this awesome volunteer take us around and give a little history about the different types of trains, which made the visit even better. My husband is a a mechanic and enjoyed seeing just what makes the trains go. We both thoroughly enjoyed this place.

A fun enjoyable trip to historic Van Buren, Arkansas. There is great scenery and an orated travel program. There are snacks available. If you go on old settlers week end in Van Buren there is a lot to do and see and a lot of places to eat.

We took the train from Springdale to Van Buren and back. It was a wonderful trip. The conductor and staff on the train were wonderful as was the scenery. I would recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys trains or just looking at the countryside.

We recently drove to Van Buren, AR for a round trip train ride from Van Buren to Winslow, AR. There were 4 or 5 passenger cars with a conductor in each one. Many of them are senior citizens and love to tell you some history. The route is interesting, looking over the country side, passing over several trestles, one of... More

This attraction is really fun. They do different types of excursions on an old train. It usually goes through the wooded hills of Arkansas. It's fun for an indiv I dual, couple, family. Just good old fashioned good time. If I was still of datingnsge, this is something that I'd do with a date.
