We just flew with Windpassenger. We had to drive for one hour and a half to get to the meeting point at 5h45am. Bonkers, right? Wrong. Totally worth it. Of course you can always choose to spend the night near the meeting point. And if you ever took a balloon flight during the Summer you most likely had to get up before dawn too.
As for the flight, it was a group flight and although there were plenty of people it was rather nice and confy. We got to fly with Guido, the nicest of hosts, very professional yet very casual and friendly. Truly a great experience.

The flight was wild on a day of little or almost no wind, the conditions for a perfect flight seemed to be formed. With views over the Alqueva, Monsaraz and sunrise, it was beautiful.
The landing was catastrophic, I don't know what happened but we walked for a good bit, which seemed like an eternity, to the trampoline inside the basket, we only stopped when the hundred hit a tree. I don't know if it's normal to happen but it was very bad, I'm still full of black nodos and pain in the body. It was really scary.

A hot air balloon is a beautiful experience to have if you get the opportunity sadly that might be a bit of a challenge if you’re going with Windpassenger.pt. Clearly my €750 was not enough for Windpassenger to communicate with me when I desperately needed to talk to them to clarify important information. I had tried to call them on all numbers available to me along with numerous emails, but sadly to no avail. Without confirmation from Windpassenger it would have cost me an extra €160 in taxi fares due to to pick-up point being an hour outside of Lisbon. I guess good customer service is not so paramount for this company and this is why I award only one star.

We think this email is very clear beside that you did not call the pilot at all for any help or information. You called the office on Sunday and send an email to cancel the flight to the office that is closed in the weekend as you can check on our website the team was ready to do your flight and discovered only in the morning you where not coming. We would like to say a massive massive thank you to the whole team at Wind Passenger. Not only did they help my now fiance plan the perfect proposal - watching the sun rise over Portugal from a private hot air balloon - but from the moment we left the ground to the moment we said goodbye, the crew were amazing.
A special thank you to our Pilot Bruno, who got the whole proposal on film for us, you made the day so special and made us laugh from start to finish.
When we landed, the crew met us with celebratory champagne and even made me a mini Hot Air Balloon out of the champagne cork for us to use as a cake topper on our wedding day. It was exceptional in every way. My face hurt from smiling so hard.
Also just a note for those planning a proposal, when we were up in the clouds it was absolutely stunning, everything was in a pink glow, like a scene from heaven - boys if you want to propose to your Mrs then this is the way to do it!
Thank you all again. We will be bringing our family back when we come over for the wedding!

This was amazing from beginning to end. The folks were willing to work with us and we did the couples flight with Guido. He was amazing and hospitable. The after flight lunch was also a great add on for us. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a bid of adventure with some zen thrown in for good measure. I would do this again in a heartbeat. We booked transfer so that we would arrive on time and didn't have to worry about how we would get an hour's ride out of Lisbon. All of it was amazing.

I was very nervous about a hot air balloon ride. But, this was lovely and very memorable. We had hoped to go on a smaller balloon, and it wasn't my preference to go with 19 people, but that is what was available. Still, we will remember it forever!

The day before we had to go there suddenly were some doubts. Both afraid of heights, should we really do this? But we totally did. Guido is a great pilot and the experience wasn't scary at all. We floated through a part of Portugal, enjoying the sunset and views not feeling anxious but instead a sense of total serenity. If you have any doubts, don't! Just go and enjoy!!!

Is there always available flights ? as WindPassenger's website includes only certain flight dates, however using TripAdvisor there is available flights everyday. Also, any assistance on how to get there from Lisbon ?
