A wetland in a watercourse leads to flower gardens and a children's play area. It is just a couple of blocks from the main railway station and has toilets, a shop and a dining area. I did like the herd of animals made from rattan.

The best part of this small garden is that it is just beside the JR Asahikawa train station. Hence, make it one of your first stops should you come to Asahikawa. Suggest to visit this garden at different times of the day. When we came in the early morning, it was cold and the nearby pond area was misty, giving a nice feel to the place. In the evening time, the sunset to the west of the garden was beautiful, with the flowers in the foreground. Overall, this is a small but nicely landscaped garden that gives you a taste of what the Asahikawa region offers: beautiful nature. Best thing is that this garden is free access at anytime of the day. Venture a bit further to the east or west of the garden, and you find locals using the paved pathways to cycle or do their early morning exercise.…

This garden is located 5-8 minutes away from JR Sapporo Station, which makes it's location very convenient. We went here around sunset and the view was just very beautiful. Mere words nor picture can't really describe how beautiful it was. A perfect place to relax and chat with special people!…
