An arch bridge which hangs over the Ishikari River, is known as one of the Eight Beautiful Sceneries of Asahikawa City. This is a must-go on our itinerary and surprisingly it was reached just beside our Tokiaw Park visit.. We walked about 30 mins, past the famous Tokiwa Rotary Roundabout and the bridge stood proudly. It actually bridges the Tokiwa-dori north & south of Asahikawa. Majestically standing under the sun in all its bright green in Autumn. The river flows quietly underneath the elegant structure. We hang around the area to take some phots and even Reel before moving back to the JR sta and leaving this Hokkaido Heritage designated Site.

The longest suspension bridge is indeed a sight to behold. We drove on it! It’s only a 4 km drive, but we drove to and fro and enjoyed the mesmerizing views on both sides. The bridge is so well planned and constructed. There’s also a Ferris wheeel for travelers to enjoy the scenic view.. it was simply amazing..👍
