Just a short walk from the boat dock or public transportation. Admission is free and it's such a beautiful spot that you don't want to pass this up. Great picture opportunities and good for the entire family.

Godaido hall is situated on a small island near the shore. The entrance is basically next to the boat harbour and tourist info booth. The hall itself is pretty lacklustre, but the view to Matsushima Bay is excellent.

Godaido temple is very near to the boat docking station and tourist information center. Nice to see a small temple in an island which is just 2 minutes walk. We can see the full Matsushima bay from the temple.
