We were able to book online. We were given detailed directions. We arrived and filled out the paperwork and they took our keys. We paid a fee but they brought our car to the end of our trip for us. Staff was so friendly. Because the water was low they booked us from Tyler Bend to Gilbert. It was awesome. The equipment was in great shape and the beautiful of the River speaks for itself. Can’t wait to come back. Suggest coming in the spring when the water is higher. We saw all kinds of wildlife and several different species of fish in the clear, cool water. Two thumbs up.

Stayed in the Wanderlust cabin for the weekend and booked two kayaks thru this company. Cabins were around $200 a night with amazing covered porches with swing and rocking chairs and a complete kitchen. Outside we also had a PK Portable Kitchen Grill and a huge fire pit with wood and a picnic table. The bed was comfortable and they had Netflix available if that's your thing. The float trip was very easy to book and organized with an easy launch. The staff for the float trip sign in and at the river spots were all young adults and were pretty polite and upbeat. The area is beautiful. I did accidentally leave a wallet behind, which the company found and shipped back to me with everything (cash and credit cards) in it and absolutely nothing missing. Great experience and trustworthy company to do business with!

customer service skills of the teenage staff issuing canoes at the B.R.O store are lacking too say the least, just rude, but the river is majestic in all its splendor , I would suggest another canoe service that knows how too treat a paying customers, Ill be back , but sorry B.R.O , I wont be floating with you

The rentals are not cheap ($60/kayak), but the river is beautiful! Our group of 12 initially wanted to do the longer (10 mile) trip from Baker’s Ford to Gilbert, but due to a road closure was limited to the Tyler’s Bend to Gilbert (5.8 mile) option. Due to the oppressive sun/heat, and the relatively slow current this time of year, we were glad we just did the shorter one! That being said, the river provided many opportunities for excellent swimming and jumping (though the lineup of kids waiting to jump off the cliffs at Grinder’s Ferry was not exactly COVID-friendly). Overall, an incredibly beautiful river with ZERO development along it. Hard to put a price on that! And kudos to the staff at Buffalo Outfitters—they are taking pandemic safety seriously by handling all registration and sales outside and not running crowded shuttles (alternatively, you can pay $37 for them to drive your vehicle to the drop-off point).

We waited more than 2 hours at the river for our canoes to arrive. Another hour+ for our car once we got off the river. There was zero organization. People who arrived after us got canoes before people who had arrived before us. Employees were all extremely polite but spending 3+ hours with the employees shouldn't have been part of our experience. I am stunned anyone could give Buffalo River Outfitters a positive review.
