I highly recommend using SAS Travel to arrange your Jordan trip! I reached out to SAS to supplement a Gate 1 tour. Anna-Lisa expertly answered all my numerous questions and was flexible as our plans took shape. She arranged transportation for our group of five from Amman airport to Madaba, Madaba to Wadi Rum, and Wadi Rum to the Dead Sea. We had the same driver over the course of these three days. Ahmad was on-time, had a friendly attitude and spoke good English. We were pleased with his services and suggestions. Anna-Lisa also arranged a local Petra guide, Mamoun, to lead us from the Siq to the Monastery. Mamoun has been researching Petra for over 20 years, and we found his alternative theory on Petra to be fascinating and educational. Our thanks to the SAS team for their wonderful service!

A day of lovely sights and trying to imagine some moments in history. The walk is full of surprises both created by nature and by humans. Truly a wonder at every step, the colours the stories the facts... the whole journey took me to a different world and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The weather was fabulous but I just felt we needed more time to explore more. Would love to go back another time to check every nook and corner😊

Thank you for all arrangements we had a wonderful time & can't quite believe why we haven't visited before! What a great friendly country stepped in history.
We loved the Movenpick Hotel at the Dead Sea and thought we should have ended our stay in Jordan there with a 2 night stay!
The Martian pods at Sun City didn't fail to impress. We really enjoyed out stay here & your request for us for front row worked!(Thank you)
The stay at Petra the hotel was friendly & clean and they upgraded us to a larger rooms. We felt the the hotel was functional but added nothing special to the trip.
Had an exceptionally great guide at Petra. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Ahmed our driver was friendly and attentive and took us on some very interesting routes so we could enjoy better scenery. He was also very flexible in fitting in with our timings.
The citadel in Amman and the last days itinerary in Jerash and Ajloun were a total bonus to the trip and we loved every moment.
I even bumped into a friend from Leeds at Jerash! Totally bazar!
Thank you for your recommendations and help to make a holiday most enjoyable.
Our daughter was quizzing us about our trip to Jordan so I will point her in your direction.

We arranged for a private tour of Petra and Wadi Rum with Sami. Making arrangements for the tour were easily done online. Sami offered good suggestions and was totally flexible in accommodating our requests.
We met Sami at the Eilat/Aqaba crossing (getting across the border from Eilat was very simple). Sami ushered us through Jordanian customs (another simple process) and we took off for a drive to Petra. Sami is incredibly knowledgeable about Jordan, Petra, Islam, geology, history, and more. He answered our many questions and offered lots of valuable information to help us understand the country and its people. He has a great sense of humor, his English is flawless, his driving impeccable.
We arrived in Jordan at about 4:30 pm, which allowed us to drive to Petra in daylight and see the country. Sami arranged for us to stay at the Old Village Hotel and Resort in Petra, which was an incredible place. It's located on the hills above "downtown" Petra where many other hotels are located, and the beautiful views are a big advantage. The hotel is either new or recently refurbished and was a luxurious place to stay. Sami drove us to a local restaurant for dinner, offered to help negotiate shopping for souvenirs, and arranged for our return to our hotel.
The next morning Sami drove us to the entrance to Petra and was our guide for the day. He continued to be informative about everything we saw, matched his pace to ours, gave us options of additional things to see, helped us take great photos, and was overall a fantastic guide.
After the day in Petra, Sami drove us to the Sun City Bedouin camp where we stayed the night, and toured Wadi Rum by jeep the next morning. Wadi Rum is spectacular, and more than just a jeep ride through the desert. We made several stops to walk up dunes, explore canyons with ancient writings on the walls, or climb large rock outposts for beautiful views.
Sami then drove us back to the border crossing, indulging our request to stop at a local supermarket. Sami is a fantastic guide and we highly recommend him for a trip to Jordan.

Mamoun Ali Nawafleh was an amazing tour guide. After we arrived to Petra, he quickly got us down the walkway and into the canyons while providing lots of education. As we moved on he was so full of knowledge that it made the experience wonderful, as I was not as knowledgeable about Petra as I thought. Ya it rained, but I took that as part of the experience, thinking how people of the past had to travel by foot. The two hours of walking down went fast, with all the information he was providing.
Thank You.
Thank You.

We wanted to have a private tour in Petra and did not exactly know which tour company and tour we should take - there are plenty of them. But then occasionally we came across this private tour. It had only 2 reviews but they were so good, that we decided to spend our day in Petra with the guide Sami. What should I say - it was a perfect decision. We were supposed to go to monastery and climb 900 steps :-) but we could already explore a bit Petra previous day so that Sami meant it would make more sense to enter Petra through the second entrance without going the whole way twice. We came over paths to the monastery which are not on the way of all crowds of the tourists and it was amazing. Sami knows so much about Petra and answers all the questions you can ever have. Did you know that app. 80% of Petra is still unexplored??? What we can see is just a very small piece of ancient city which was never abandoned. Sami gave us a mountain of interesting information - about history, archeology, culture, society, sustainability, tourism etc. etc. He showed us places which you can see only if you know Petra. We spend around 6 hours in Petra and enjoyed them 200%. Perfect tour, perfect guide, perfect day!

I booked the holiday for my husband's 50th birthday and we had the best time! Jordan is an amazing country and we felt safe and welcome during our time there. From being met at the airport to being dropped off, everything was well organised and enjoyable.
Ahmed, our driver, was prompt and drove us brilliantly around his fabulous country.
Petra was undoubtedly a highlight, brought to life by our guide Mahmoun, we hiked up to the monastery and the treasury overlook afterwards on our own - tiring but unmissable.
Wadi Rum was stunning and the jeep ride another incredible experience. Even better was eating lunch with Richard Ayoade nd David Baddiel who were staying on the camp with us (watch out for a Travel Man Christmas special filmed in Jordan)
Communication with Anna-Lisa was spot on and there were even a few extra special birthday touches. If you're in any doubt about Jordan or SAS travel, don't be just book it soon! We've made memories there we'll treasure forever

Petra is absolutely amazing, and Wadi Rum is unforgettable. That being said, it really matters who is guiding you through the experience. I travel extensively, and when my friend learned I was heading here, he called me to say " I have the most amazing guide for you." Now after spending two days with Sami Nawafleh, I can wholeheartedly agree.
While my friend was in a business group, I was taking my family of 6 (4teens) and an Israeli friend. so evidently Sami is perfect for multiple types of groups. He was interesting, intelligent, and engaging. He made sure the kids were staying involved. When they wanted to climb up on a rock perch, he went with them to make sure they were safe and to take unforgettable pictures. When my little one felt ill, he arranged to have his brother go to a pharmacy to get some medicine.
He has a masters degree in tourism from a university in London and his English was perfect, though he may speak other languages as well. He grew up in Wadi Musa and gave fantastic historical perspective. Every restaurant recco he gave was perfect, as was the hotel he chose. He arranged all of our details in conjunction with SAS. Our driver was also a nice safe guy.
We had an amazing time in both Petra and Wadi Rum. We felt safe and well cared for.
Besides SAS, you can connect with him via email at sami_moammar@hotmail.co.uk

From the moment we were picked up at Queen Alia airport in Amman until we were dropped off a week later we had a fabulous tour of the country. The driver, guides and hotels were all wonderful, efficient and friendly.
We explored the Roman city of Jerash, spent time seeing the sights of the capital Amman, floated in the Dead Sea and relaxed in a great resort by the Red Sea, south of Aqaba.
Then we moved on for an open top jeep tour in the desert of Wadi Rum before watching the sunset and the stars come out over the desert and an overnight in a campsite.
We finally visited the most famous site in Jordan - Petra.
It really lived up to its reputation as we walked through the Siq, marvelled at the Treasury, climbed up to the Place of High Sacrifice and then climbed to the Monastery. The walking and climbing between these sights showed off the beauties of Petra, the coloured rocks, the tombs, the nature. Fantastic.
The people were friendly, the food was good, the country is a wonder to visit and the tour was excellent.
