It was the most terrifying trip in my life! The people who is arranging this tour caring only about money. they never heard about good service before. the food what they prepared what was included in price tour was not eatable, we hardly found where to buy some food on the road . But the most horrifying was behaviour of Ghassab and his brother, they were our guides and always was making obscene jokes and wink to the girls .For the first time in my life i experienced harassment and never felt safe with these guides! especially in the desert during the night time, when Ghassab invite me to go for a walk somewhere away from the camp! I couldnt sleep all over night because we were freaking out of this behaviour! In the end they asked us for extra money 20JOD for the transportation from his base, which is his house, to Little Petra. This was not indicated in the tour price and we suppose its should be included into the tour.

While this review is nearly one year over-due, we feel so passionately positive about our experience with Jordan Desert Hikes (JDH) and it's owner Ghassab, we simply had to leave a review. Among the many thousands of tourist companies in Jordan, JDH stands out in it's personal touch and it's genuine local connections. After a glowing word of mouth recommendation, we booked one week of travel in July of 2019 spanning the country South to North, from Wadi Rum to Jerash. Each stop on the trip we were met with kind and knowledgeable guides, quality food, stunning hikes and consistently comfortable quarters. We really appreciated the flexibility to have an overall plan but to wake up and take each day as it came. There are so many stories we could include, like when my hiking boots fell apart and Ghassab personally saw to the repair, or when our driver David brought us to an incredible impromptu sunset picnic overlooking the Dead Sea, but the continues refrain throughout the trip was "Wow, how lucky we are to have connected with Ghassab?!" I would highly recommend not only booking one day or two day hikes with JDH but also multiple days of travel exploring the whole country.

I stay 2 nights and days around Petra. My stay in this place was amazing. With tasty and amazing local food. I recommend a stop in this Bedouin life style experience. Everything was great. They care of us like a family. Go and you will enjoy !

Excellent professional service. We had a wonderful time. Our guide Ghessan knows the Jordanian highlands, on 80 kms of wilderness and goat trails , we did not back track once. It was organized that our bagagge and tents where hauled and put up by their staff every evening and all meals were included. Dinners were prepared fresh every night by their cook. It was really wonderful. My two teenage kids were very happy, as was I, as all there energy was spent on the trail. It is a side of Jordan you will never see on a tour bus and staying at 4 0r 5 stars hotels.
