We enjoyed the Wadi al Farasa trail path very much. We did the trail from High Sacrifice to Treasury that is not shown on the official map-flyer you get (towards Danquer al Khazneh) - it is marked but take wikiloc with you. The way down...More

Also do the route down by the soldier's tomb. The high place offers fantastic views and the locals are very helpful to show you other routes to get up there if you're not as confident a climber.

It s a beautiful climbing from the back side to the top. The view at the top is nice but the best for me was the trecking path up.

Probably the most interesting thing about the High Place of Sacrifice is the stunning views from the very top of that mountain.

My favourite place in Petra - not so crowded. The walk up is not so bad - we needed one hour from our hotel (near the entrance) and I am quite slow. It was easier then the climb to monastery. And it is worth the...More

The High Place of Sacrifice is in Petra. If you have not done that then do the whole hike starting at the Basin Restaurant then descending into the amphitheater near the Treasury. There is hardly anyone on the route and... More
