This is the most famous site on this location. Picturesque. It's again a mausoleum and not a palace or a Treasury as it's banned and believed to be. Wonderful. Just amazing.

As one walks in the Bab al Siq, the narrow gorge that leads toward Petra ruins, what is not sure what is coming up. At places it gets too narrow and then, all of a sudden, one is exposed to the structure of Treasury carved in the mountains. Its' a phenomenal sight and I find it hard to compare with... More

After walking to miles down and more down with no idea what was coming it was suddenly there in full view this building that is in all of he Petra literature . It is carved into the sandstone and still reminding us that genius began long before the 21st century .

It was everything I expected it to be - enormous, grand, awe inspiring! There's something special about being surrounded by the ambience that is Petra. Invest in a good book guide or a local guide. The walk along the Siq to the Treasury is as breathtaking as the Treasury itself. The colors, patterns in the sandstone, carvings in the rock... More

We went at 6:30am at opening and we were in the ruin by ourselves for at least 2 hours. It's 3Km hike from the visitor center to the treasury. It's everything you imagine it is and even better if you are an Indiana jones fan. You can get a horse to assist with the first part of the hike..it's included... More

Great place to visit. The natural beauty is amazing. Advice to take the horse ride to the monastery. Look at a hotel near the tourist centre. Street food is also good. Guide is a must if the entire history of the place is to be understood. Night tour is a must. For the day tour starting early will be great

The treasury, which is actually a grave, is the building with most artistic elements in all of Petra, that is why is more famous than other larger buildings in the city. It is worth it to experience it at night if you have the chance, so try the Petra nights, where you can sit and have some tea, while breading... More
