Gorgous Petra. Highly recommend a trip when in Jordan. Breathtaking views non-stop. Be wary of camel drivers. And if you come across a man named Tyseer run the other way. He took our money but did not finish our ride. He was supposed to meet up with us after a certain point. Camels are only allowed on part of path.... More

When in Jordan, one must visit Petra and visit this new seven wonders of the world. Absolutely breathtaking. One can walk till the treasury or take the horse carriages to the treasury. You would just be awestruck without any doubt. As the lights fall on treasury, the vibrant red colour changes all the view. Must visit......

Walking through the Siq and reaching the Treasury is a fantastic experience, made even better with the camels sat in front. The best way to view it would be to get up early and start walking a little before sunrise. That way you reach the Treasury just as the sun comes up, hits the sand and causes a lovely red... More

This place is awesome. If you plan on going in the winter, dress warmly, in layers as it warms up as the day goes on. They do have places to buy hats and gloves. Wear sturdy shoes for hiking the sites.

There is about a mile walk on a paved path down to the treasury. You can not actually go into the treasury, just stand outside and look at it. There are a lot of locals there trying to sell you camel rides, which only go in front of the treasury for a quick picture of you on a camel.

When I first saw he treasury it was everything that I thought it would be; beautiful and magestic. The sun doesn't hit it until quite late in the day but in the morning it's lovely and secluded if you get there for sunrise.

As you approach Petra by walking through the Siq, at the end you get a glimpse of the Treasury, a magnificent sight.
