Probably the most famous thing that Jordan has right now. It is a nice site (5 mile round trip, beware). The touts are a pain in the butt however, and some of the horse and donkey concessions are down right rude. But the carved sandstone...More

The Treasury is the poster child of Petra for good reason. As you walk towards the site the sheer enormity of the structure and imposing way it introduces you to the area is magnificent.

The treasury is the face of Petra and a lovely sight. However, Petra has many other attractions and it makes sense to continue beyond the Treasury. You are not allowed to go inside. The architectural marvel is a photographer's delight

Breathtaking site as you exit the The Siq (gorge). Once you see the full view you will appreciate The Treasury's beauty. It is about 40 meters high and intricately decorated. The legend says the pharaoh's treasure is canceled within. You can no longer enter the...More

The Treasury is a must. Although the road to the treasury (the Siiq) wasn’t exactly flattering (with the horse feces), the treasury itself was beautiful.

A beautiful place. The road before getting to this sculpture it does not prepare you, for the beauty ahead. You see the opening, you turn around and there it is. Imposing, beautiful, a work of art of ancient civilizations, we were there on a gorgeous...More

Al khazana is the face of Petra, sort of the first you will see. Hence the hype is all worth it, but my genuine advice is to not stop there. Do the monastery trail, it's a long trail but trust me, that was more impressive...More

Beautiful place. The street before prepares to this amazing place. Unfortunately you cannot enjoy the place with quiet because of bedouins behaviour.

Hi! The trip from Amman to Petra and back takes at least 12 hours, which is very demanding and exhausting. This will allow you to see only some portions of Petra, including the Siq, The Treasury, the highlight of the trip... More
