The Discovery Terhaal team made planning for the Dana to Petra trek easy and pain-free. They were also able to include the Dead Sea and Wadi Rum in our package (both highly recommended). Wafaa was super friendly and quick to respond. Even though it was in the middle of the high season, they found a way to make our trip work out. All of our local bedouin trekking guides were excellent! Our overall experience was EPIC. We highly recommend using the Discovery Terhaal team to help you fully experience all the beauty in Jordan. Many thanks to the team.…

We three friends have just returned from a trip to Jordan organized by Terhaal and I could not speak more highly of them. From the first email they have been very responsive and efficient and tailored the trip to our requirements. We saw Madaba (go to the Archaeology Park there for more wonderful mosaics), Mount Nebo, Karak, Little Petra, Petra, Wadi Rum and Amman. All the guides they arranged for us were great; our driver Ahmed was delightful, and went out of his way to show us as much of the country as possible. The Bedouin camp they chose for us in Wadi Rum was superb, quite a a way into the desert, and that whole experience was thrilling, including the scramble up to Burdah Rock Bridge- not for the faint-hearted! We opted not to go to Jerash or the Dead Sea, and we didn’t want fancy hotels; they accommodated our wishes and called us at the beginning and end of the trip to make sure we were happy. Very courteous and efficient, and we thought good value for money. We would highly recommend Terhaal if you’re considering a trip to Jordan.…

I did a multi-day biking and hiking trip with Terhaal through the mountains, to Petra and Wadi Rum and had a terrific time. The staff was very knowledgable and well prepared and we got to see and learn things which people staying on the beaten path would never see or hear of. Thanks to the translations of Tala and Anas, who accompanied us, we also got to talk to local people and learn more about the Beduin way of life. I'd choose Terhaal again any time!…

My husband and I had 7 great days in Jordan ( first week of May 2019) Reem helped us to organise the trek ( main part) and our days in Wadi Rum, Dead Sea and Amman We highly recommend hiking between Dana and Petra, the main goal of our trip. Day 1 Dana Feynan. Long going down then a long walk on a dry riverbed. Very nice scenery. Not too difficult. After that, more than 2 hours drive to our basecamp. Tent and camp was nicely settled. The cook had a great english and his cooking was the best we have had in our years of hiking. Our guide was barely speaking english and it was sometimes difficult but he was kind. Day 2 ,Trek to Qobor Wehedat started early. Long climb up first. 11-hour-hike. Very long day but nice till basecamp. Only us during the whole day … and the donkey. Incredible and nice feeling to enjoy this beautiful country nature. Day 3 Trek to Little Petra and Petra ( Monastery). Our guide left us at the monastery. Nice feeling to arrive at the monastery in the end of the day after this long hike. Day 4. Hike around Petra. There is lots to do and see Day 5 : We went camping in Wadi Rum ( where they filmed Laurence of Arabia). The site is very comfortable ( nice room , toilets and showers) but for me it was not as authentic as during the hike. It was too touristic and there was too many people. Food not so great ( compared to the trek experience) Day 6 Dead sea. Floating in the very salty water. Spa. nice pools. Very relaxing after the days in the desert Day 7 Amman, the Romanian theater, the citadel. We liked also wandering around in the souk and on the Rainbow street with all its nice restaurants. In short, Jordan is not just Petra. Don't miss the nature, people, food. Don't hesitate to ask Reem to prepare your trip…
