About
The Turkish bath starts with relaxation in a room (known as the warm room) that is heated by a continuous flow of hot, dry air, allowing the bather to perspire freely. Bathers may then move to an even hotter room (known as the hot room) before they wash in cold water. After performing a full body wash and receiving a massage, bathers finally retire to the cooling-room for a period of relaxation.

After a long day at Petra this was just what the doctor ordered. Ziad was a great host. He picked us up at our hotel, walked us down the street, gave us tea and coffee while we waited and then . . . Steam room, hot stone beds with cooling water poured over you periodically, an exfoliating scrub, and a phenomenal massage. I feel like new. Wish I could end every day this way!

Thank you Ziad!

After 3 days of hiking on Petra, we went to this place to relax. The welcome is really warm and the care is very good
We strongly recommend this Establishment on Petra

Perfect to relax yourself after days of walking around Petra. I booked at another hammam that was incredibly disappointing, and walked into this one on the off-chance that they could squeeze me in. They not only made time for me, but made me feel like a queen!
The male masseuse was very respectful and I felt 100% comfortable the whole way through (even as a solo female traveller and the only woman in the hammam at the time). Afterwards they made me a mint tea and we chatted for a while.
Can't recommend enough :)

Terrible experience. Disorganized. Did not provide the service advertised. This is a "tourist factory"; if you know what to expect and want a proper Turkish bath ritual, try somewhere else.
The sauna was clean, hot and large enough for 8. They advertise separated space for males and females; not the case. There were only three attendants and when I went in, there were already 6 people in the sauna. So we had to spend 50 minutes in the sauna, cooling off before we could have the scrub and massage. Obviously, the attendants are too busy to provide a proper service. The scrub was three minutes and the awful massage lasted 15 minutes. Not what was promoted. The massage was so poor, I politely asked him to stop and that I wanted to shower....he had no clue how to give a massage or Turkish bath. Was not value for money.

Went here with a group after all day in Petra. The guide we had arranged to go here. We had mixture of women and 2 men. We were told we would be separated and that each would have same sex venues. This was not to be. At first we were in a steam room with not much steam. The only person working was a skinny young guy in swim trunks. The ladies with the group came in with us 2 guys in steam room which at first we didn't think but oh well. Then the skinny guy later showed up with a bucket and bowl with cold water and dumped it on us all! Very uncomfortable. We were then asked to go to another room with supposed hot stone slab which was not case. Then the skinny guy washed our hair and more freezing water. Then a scrub with a mit on each person male and female in same room! A pregnant lady then appeared and started to take the ladies for their supposed massage and the skinny guy took us 2 dudes. The massage was horrible (I usually always get therapeutic massage). Got shower and changed some tea at end. I have done Turkish hammam before and they were good, but this place took cake for worst of all. The ladies of our group hated the experience completely! Stay away!

I have been to several Turkish baths and none of them have been mixed. This place is small. One small dressing room for women. You are lead by a male through think steam to a small steam room which has men and women. After steam room lead to a marble slab to lay on. You cannot stretch because of the other couples. After this you are taken to a small room for a scrub and quick firm massage. A black shower curtain separates from the sexes. Even my husband thought it all strange. We are from Australia and used to walking around with very little on but I would have liked more than steam and a towel in this situation. It was disappointing experience.

We followed the reviews and from what we can tell, this is the same place as the Al Yaktour spa.

We got a steam and a cursory hammam scrub followed by a massage. the place was very busy with at least 15 people in the room. not exactly private and while there was a private room for a woman massage, as it was so busy, most of the women had male masseuses and we all had the hammam scrub in public view. there didn't seem to be any restriction to access. if you turned up they sent you in.

We went at 5 pm obviously a busy time and it may be more relaxed and private at other times.

On a positive note, if you have spent 4 or 5 hours walking in Petra, a good steam and a bit of a massage was welcome and it was not expensive in comparison to a real spa. but don't expect Six Senses.

We enjoyed the massage very much, and pulled our tight muscles back into shape, the scrub was glorious and felt so good! The steam was great too after being on the dry desert all day. All in all was a refreshing experience.

Nice people, steam room 30min, hot stone ca 10min, scrubbing 5min were ok. Massage was a little short...only 3 or maybe 5 minutes. Expected a little longer, but maybe this was the common way. The girls had a little longer that day. Price was ca. 45 euro per person... we were 3 adults, one kid. Seperation male/female was good.

After three days of hiking and climbing hundreds of stairs, my legs were starting to pack it in. Our guide suggested a Turkish bath and arranged for me to visit the Nabatean Turkish Bath in Petra. I was already wanting to try one, so jumped at the chance. Not only was the price very reasonable (much less than a massage in Australia), I was picked up from the hotel and driven there - a good thing because even though it was very close I don't think I could have walked. Lots of steam, then lying on a warm stone slab having cool water poured on your forehead and stomach, followed by a great massage concentrating on my aching legs. Wonderful! Felt so good I walked back to the hotel. I don't think I could have done as much walking as I did in the next couple of weeks without my visit to this bath house. All the staff were lovely and spoke good English. Also it is not segregated so couples can go in together. Very highly recommended.
