SkiBansko.bg was founded in 2009 by a team of passionate people. Ever since, Ski&Board Traventuria has affirmed itself as a leading provider of ski and board equipment, lift passes, tuition and transfers. Our ambitious team is servicing guests with positive energy, attention, professionalism. We’ve moved to our current location in 2013 and it’s one of the most modern shops in Southeast Europe. Spread over 400 m2 it includes storage and retail sections. Every year, before the season's start, we purchase for rent over 1000 brand new pairs of boots, skis and boards from leading brands. We offer personal lockers with a built-in drying and disinfection system. We have a service center (over 200m2) where we take care of the 3000+ pieces of equipment we offer for rent. We are ready to respond to the needs of skiers with all kinds of experience. For the free time of our guests, we have a list of apres-ski activities.We organize hassle-free transfers from/to the airport with our modern fleet.

Traventuria staff where brilliant with us on our first every winter sports holiday. They were very accommodating with my 5 year old who only skiid for half the time. Jacob was very friendly and helpful on our first day and then each day on collections and drop off of our kit, he would go above and beyond to ensure I was able to access kindergarten and bus/taxi services

From the first day we arrived and went to get fitted for our equipment everything worked like clockwork.
The staff were amazing, able to get us fitted and sorted with equipment and a locker very fast.
Would use again and highly recommend to anyone!

This was our first ski holiday ever and after having shopped around a lot online, we decided on Traventuria as a well rated and decently priced company. And it was all as expected. We hired the full equipment for 5 days including the ski pass and ski lessons. The price in October was very good with an additional 5% discount for early booking.

We went for the premium package and we both received brand new ski boots as well as fairly new skis and poles. Equipment collection was smooth on the day before our first ski day and the lockers they provided were also of great quality and spacious enough for everything. Equipment return went smoothly and without problems.

The best feature about Traventuria is their online chat functionality, which I used almost every single day asking for minmor details on our equipment, the ski and lift conditions and forecasts etc.

The onlhy slight issue is that the distance to the ski lift wasn't quite as close as we were expecting. If you're new to walking in ski boots with skis and poles in your hands, you'll struggle with the walk. After the first day, we ended up using our car as ski storage and drove all the way to the gondola parking, which between Christmas and New Year was very empty around 8.30am. And that alsoo saved us fromo walking to the shop afterwards.

And their airport/Sofia transfers are quite expensive, but still roughly the same as what other companies are offering. For that reason we ended up hiring a car and driving ourselves and were able to visit the Rila Monastery along the way as well.

All in all, I'd happily rent from them again as it was an overall very positive experience.

Lack of care , premium equipment exactly the same as basic ,no advise and introduction in welcoming new costumers

Besides the good experience we had on the trip to and from Bansko I want to express my disappointment from Traventuria services in general.

Me and partner have been using this company for the last 5 years , last year we came with a group of 8 people ,this year with a group of 11 . Many of my friends had a bad experience last year with snowboard equipment ( soggy boots , faulty board ) and nobody have even spend time to ask them questions and explain what is the best equipment and size for a new starters and give a basic guide . This year we have all booked for a premium equipment and paid more in order to have a better quality equipment and enjoy more .
Unfortunately there was no difference than what we had last year and the situation with the new people in the group have repeated again . There was no checks and advise ,one of my friends was given snowboard boots 2 sizes bigger than her shoe size , also for a “premium equipment “ there was absolutely nothing different than what we had last year as non premium and what me and my partner had in the last 5 years for skiing .
After the overall experience in last 2 years me and my friends won’t book there again .

Dear Mihaela, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. As a company with an outstanding reputation among the skiing community, we are always striving to provide an excellent service. A part of that is talking to our customers. We've been focused on receiving their feedback by sending e-mails about satisfaction to each reservation each season. I am really surprised to see that you've been disappointed with our equipment last year and you express your thoughts just now. The difference between the premium and basic packages can be seen during the reservation procces and on our blog. The biggest difference lay in the payment, fitting and storage options. When it comes to the equipment, with the premium you get newer equipment (rented for a season or two) and within the basic package there are skis and boards of up to five seasons. TOP and VIP supplements (brand new equipment) can be booked with the premium pakage. I have checked our records from the last season and I can see that some people of your group have been upgraded with premium package last year and with TOP and VIP supplement this year, free of charge. I am sorry you did not book lockers last year, otherweise the "soggy" boots would've been dried overnight in our lockers with built-in drying system and the problem wouldn't occur. However, each team member will go above and beyond to exceed your expectations, if you share any conceren you have with the equipment, therefore the boots would've been changed if you have spoken to our team members. Same is valid for your friend, who received bigger boots- we have more than 300 pairs of boots in the shop and double more in our storage. I am sure that the perfect boots for her are in the shop and they were waiting for her- she just needed to mention that she's not comfortable with the equipment recived. Best regards, Annie Paykova

Great quality equipment and the lockers were fantastic, close to gondola and a good price. Would definitely use again. staff were a little grumpy when requested to change equipment even though i was paying 24 lev p day to change to board / blades. Service with a smile goes a long way.

Overall good shop though.

Great place to get a service

We hired ski equipment for 4 people. The equipment was adapted to each person according to their ski level .We received tolerant, fast and efficient service. All the staff are nice and friendly. All issues, including exchanges, were handled in an excellent manner, including transfers to the airport. Special thanks to Michael who made sure to give a perfect answer to all the questions.

We have recently returned from our first ever skiing trip. The staff at Traventuria made the trip run smoothly and helped us at every possible opportunity.
They were friendly and the equipment and facilities were great. Nothing was too much trouble. They even posted back my custom insoles when I forgot and left in the boots that I returned.
The ski lessons they arranged were fantastic. The kids had a brilliant time and we had full confidence and felt safe leaving our kids with the instructor. He took them from being beginners to competent skiers in 5 days and they loved every minute. I’d like to say a massive thank you to the whole team, they were brilliant!

Best ski equipment rental service in Bansko. Staff were very hospitable and helpful. They were very flexible in finding customized and cost effective option for renting ski equipment during our holiday. Good quality of ski equipment, skillful staff, convenient locker facilities and location close to gondola station. I would recommend these services to everyone.

What can I say about this outfit? They were excellent. We arranged ski hire, locker use, transport up the mountain to avoid the horrific gondola queues, lessons, airport transfer. Great value and as good as all the reviews say. Would definitely recommend and will use again.

I’ve been skiing for 2.0 years deliberately using rentals rather than own skis . This is the best one ever - brand new (literally, taken out of the box just in front of us) equipment, excellent level of equipment and service. Very polite, helpful, friendly and fast

Prices are also very attractive, to my mind best in the town

No doubts this is rental service # 1 in the town !
